~Salem~ Posted April 1, 2010 Share Posted April 1, 2010 After some lurking for I've finally decided to actually join. I'm seventeen and asexual. It wasn't long ago that I learned there was such a thing as asexual. I always thought I was broken or something for not wanting sex. I would see people around me talking about it and getting excited about it while all I could think was, 'Why would someone want to do that?' I've been wondering about my sexuality for a while. When I was younger I thought inwardly of myself as a boy, though I'm a girl. But as I become older I considered myself neutral, neither one nor the other, and not being attracted to either one also. I was often self conscious because of it thinking I was a freak or something or if it had to do with some of my past experiences. I'm really glad that I found out about asexuality and about AVEN.
