Okay...simple: Find your particular thing and click. For all the others click N/A.

The last two questions click either yes, no or other.

Elaborate in a post if you want to.

So much choice!

Hmm...I'm begginning to see a draw-back to the poll...or I can't do maths...

Okay, no...I've got it down...kinda

Drawbacks?? I see none. It's quite straightforward to me... People who don't understand it or find it too complicated can just not answer.

Yeah, but it's difficult to determine the percentage of people total people who voted for each bit. Not impossible, though.

Or be forced to start thinking about politics more so they're able to develop some sort of an opinion?

Classical Liberal.

Libertarian other. By which I mean classical liberalism. All very confusing.

Feminism, no. Equality, yes.

Enviromentalist, other. Not sure how this is defined. I'm in favour of doing nice things for the environment, but opposed to government intervention that essentially forces people to change behaviours. Not entirely sure of my thinking environmentally though.

Feminism, no. Equality, yes.

Out of interest, what exactly is it that you mean by this? Although rather crude, my understanding of feminism is that it's a belief in equality between the sexes, but your statement would seem to indictate that you think feminism entails inequality in some way?

You are correct in your understanding of it. I just find the idea of such a thing these days to be rather pointless. I somehow doubt masculism would get the same number of votes on such a poll, when really there is no difference. Which leads me to ponder why masculism isn't actually included on the poll either. In itself, we're already establishing that feminism in this context isn't genuinely equal to it's equal and opposite. I'm just not particularly fond of anything that promotes "equality" for one particular section of society rather than all, whether they be full of good intentions or not.

Mr. Ten Below

That was fun. :D

When I said Other, it said to clarify, so here I am clarifying. I'm not a feminist because I don't like the word. It privileges females to have feminism mean equality, and that's not fair to the rest of us. I guess I'd call myself an egalitarian. Most people aren't going to end up agreeing with me, of course, preferring to stick with feminist because of the history of the movement, and that's all right with me.

Social Liberal, though I was tempted to answer a few of the other ones as well. Eh. I'm generally relaxed about such things.

Feminism, answered no or other, I forget which; Eddie7 addresses half of my issue with it, the second being I find the term to carry connotations that are inaccurate to my opinions. Gender Gnarliness gets my vote.

Environmentalist, yes; quasi-technoGaiaist; not sure if I buy all the futurist/transhumanist hype, but gut says that attempting a balance between technology/mankind and nature/mankind's most optimal, assuming we can even last that long. I'd explain more but I'm typing this during a fit of insomnia, so I'll cut out while I know the basics are out.

For the record, I voted Democratic Socialist.

Haha, me too! In da hizzouse! That's what MLK said he was, which I think is cool.

I don't know enough about anarchy, but it seems like it could be a good idea. But democratic socialism is unrealistic enough as it is, let alone anarchy (no offense, anyone).

Feminist and environmentalist as well.

Pretty good poll.

Often in political polls I have to choose between this OR that... it's good to divide things up a bit. If that makes sense.

I didn't vote anything contravertial or that needs explanation really.

I want the government to quit interfering in my life. My only strongish view here.

I really have no idea what kind of Conservative I am... I looked, I found none that I fell into the category for.

Now, if no one minds... I'm gonna fall asleep.

It's unfortunate that you find politics so boring.

No, I have Narcolepsy - If you've ever read that in one of however many times I've said it...

I get tired really easy.

And I do find them boring, to an extent, because I find it much more simple than what people make it out to be.

But right now, I'm sick (considering my sister was last night and I caught it), depressed, hungry, tired and I don't feel like dealing with anybody's shit today (plus I haven't taken my 3 morning pills today, so I'm having stomach pains, headaches, and cramps).

I answered the poll - there, it's over and done.

Individualist Anarchism.

Feminist: no (I don't believe in genders, so I guess this doesn't make me a feminist)

Environmentalist: yes

No for feminism (see below) and environmentalism (not against it; i do support being conscious of environmental issues, but not actively so, I guess? I don't get worked up about it, basically).

I voted socialism-other and liberal- social, hoping that that would sum it up enough.

*pokes fish* Where's my apolitical option? <_< :P

How I describe myself is apolitical with mild socialist leanings. I feel about politics how asexuals feel about sex, really, and I only tend to get worked up about politics when those around me get worked up and irritate my politics-free world. I'll go as far to say as which sort of policies and such I support, but I don't care to discuss it further, as if it were a conversation about ice cream flavors. That's what it's like for me. I like lemon custard and education funding, you like rocky road and no child left behind... okay, that's nice. Which is why you often see me go in a thread, say what I think and not come back... I'm not up for debate, I just want to give my two cents and not be argued with. That's probably why I hate politics... it's a bunch of arguing and being within earshot of an argument gives me anxiety attacks.

Feminism, no. Equality, yes.

I'm actually... agreeing with you?

Really, to me feminism implies advancement of females at the sake of males, and has become quite irksome in recent years; to me it smacks of all that "girl power" phraseology you hear from the tweenie girls, which is healthy for them to realize they should be equal to men, but as adults we need to be more egalitarian. And then there are the radical feminists who, in my opinion, are just a wee bit nuts, as is any radical group, really (i don't like radical anything, particularly involving activism more than personal beliefs that affect only the person holding them)

Now, if no one minds... I'm gonna fall asleep.

It's unfortunate that you find politics so boring.

Meh... so it's not everyone's cup of tea. Bet there are things you find boring? We can't all have the same interests... nothing unfortunate about that, really.

Somewhat social-liberal but mostly democratic socialist.

"Other" for nationalism I think it's nice to love my country, but Canada has to work for it! Nationalism is a two-way street.

Environmentalism was a big yes, and I had to say yes for feminism because even though arguments against it are quite valid (and I do think it could do with a bit of a re-naming) I've been through enough that I'm willing to take the good with the bad.

Geeze not many anarchists.

It's simple. All people are clearly bad and selfish and exploit others. Which is why we need to put people in positions of power over people.

Do you mind if I steal this and post it in another forum? It's the most thorough political poll I've yet seen.
