KAGU143
ROTFLMAO !!!!! THANKS, Liver! But ... awwwwwww ... the man wants to save his little pet. Bob is obviously behind the times. There must be SOME way to preserve an amoeba! Now, choosing a special pose might be a bit tricky .... -Greybird
Live R Perfect
Yeah, plastinate it, like that German 'artist' did to all those people's corpses! Check out the links HERE and HERE and HERE NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH!!! Edits: Flippin' tags! :x
KAGU143
Wow .... Funny, I was thinking that plastination would probably work for amoebas. 'Not sure what to make of that exhibit, though. I would probably go see it just to see how much of my anatomy and physiology classes I can recall. Then I would go home and have nightmares for the rest of my life! -Greybird
junie99
That exhibit was sooo disturbing and eerie...
Silly Green Monkey
Were there any pictures of the most controversial, the runner with muscles flying off like he's going too fast?
Cate Perfect
Yes. It's in a picture with loads of other people. Surprisingly the pictures don't bother me. They just look like sculptures. Cate
Live R Perfect
I was most impressed with the two people on horseback! The German artist / doctor who is responsible for all those 'sculptures' also caused a right upset a couple of years back by performing a post-mortem live on British TV
Cate Perfect
*HONK!* Ewww. Yeah, the horseback one was rather disturbing. The rest were just...they didn't seem real to me. Perhaps if I was standing in front of them I'd feel differently. Cate
fluffy_hime
NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH!!! Holy crap. Why won't I ever learn to heed you, Liver.
junie99
I ignored Liver's warning as well, Fluffy.
fluffy_hime
The red one-eyed amoeba looks just like Plankton on Spongebob!
KAGU143
NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH!!! Holy crap. Why won't I ever learn to heed you, Liver. Fluffy, .... this exhibit could give a TAXIDERMIST nightmares! Um, Liver wasn't kidding. So, why would I go see it if I could ?? ... God only knows ... -Greybird
Gorax
OMG! I remember seeing those pics on TV once! Some channel did a report on that guy. Just . . . Whoa :D
Cate Perfect
Those pictures didn't bother me. *wonders if her inner serial killer is finally coming through* I'd go see it with you, Greybird. Cate
Silly Green Monkey
Strong stomachs aren't requirements for serial killers... but they are required for medical personnel like in the field I want to enter. But I prefer bodies after they've shed the soft tissue.
Bestatued Head
Those sculptures kick major tush! deleted pic
Jayann
Ewww. Could you please make that into a link instead of an image, so people who don't want to look at corpse sculptures can avoid it?
Guest
Hmmm...I was expecting a lot worse from corpses. But they aren't disturbing.
VivreEstEsperer
Oh my gosh, those (the amoebas, not the second thing) were great! who woulda thought, twelve pages of amoeba comics...
