You can also look at Bernie, and how far he went with donations on pennies on the dollar. Clinton raised millions of dollars. Trump and Bernie were the only ones campaigning in the rust belt. But in Bernie's case he was stabbed in the back by the DNC. Read the wikileaks cables if you're skeptical about it. The recent election in GA also shows that money won't let you win (the defeat of Ossoff). I'm a liberal myself, but I'm glad that it's *finally* the case where the people that raise the most money won't necessarily yield to an election win.

It's nonsensical at this point. http://www.gallup.com/poll/201152/conservative-liberal-gap-continues-narrow-tuesday.aspx This isn't my opinion. This is a fact. Most people in this country are left-wing. The poll you linked does not disprove this. All it does is show what people identify as. In order to gauge whether someone's liberal or conservative, you don't look at what they call themselves, you look at their positions on the issues. Case in point: 60% of Americans believe the government should ensure healthcare. 62% of Americans believe that college should be made tuition-free. 78% of Americans believe Citizens United should be overturned. 72% of Americans believe that Social Security should be expanded. 74% of Americans support paid leave. 60% of Americans support legalizing marijuana. 65% of Americans support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrant 1 hour ago, ♣Ryan♣ said: If it was more popular to go more left the democrats would do it. Oh, but it is popular. The majority of Americans support progressive policies. Bernie Sanders is the most popular politician in the country. 1 hour ago, ♣Ryan♣ said: They need votes to win and being far left doesn't win elections in the same way far right wouldn't win elections. Well, first of all, the far right does win elections. Look at who's president. I don't buy the "elections can't be won by the far left" argument. Democrats have lost over 1,000 seats under Obama. Centrist Jon Ossoff underperformed Clinton in the Georgia 6th district special election. Meanwhile, progressives Rob Quist and James Thompson both overperformed Clinton in their special elections by a margin of over 10 points. It's centrism that loses elections, not leftism. 1 hour ago, ♣Ryan♣ said: Are you basing this on your college friends or something? Clinton's views have shifted in regards on universal healthcare. She previously was in favor of it, you're right. But in 2016, she derided it as unrealistic and said it would "never, never come to pass". As for Obama, he never even attempted to get universal healthcare after being elected..
