Hi! I'd figure I'd make a masterthread for alterous attraction and for people who feel that the attraction they experience is somewhere in between

 

Alterous attraction def: "Alterous attraction is the desire to have a special emotional connection or emotional relationship but is neither completely platonic or romantic."

 

An alterous attraction to someone is called a 'mesh'

You know what. I think my crush from earlier this year was alterous attraction. 

I knew even when it was happening that it was somewhat... less. This girl was just in my head all the time. I don't know why.

@Monke JimmyI kind of relate with that too. I had a close friend who I kind of obsessed over and I could never stop thinking about them/really enjoyed their company, and I think on some level it was more alterous rather than romantic.

I just want to clarify that it also can be "a combination of romantic and platonic attraction" as well as "something else entirely"

 

I feel like my attraction actually has all three elements to some degree.
