I previously posted a pic of a flowering tree in my back yard. I do not know what it is. Here are more flowers from it:

TREE3.png

There is another in the front yard. I guess that it is the same type of tree:

The flowers look the same except pinkish:

I'm not sure, but it reminds me of the crabapple trees in my backyard.

Plus a bunch that's not actually my own, but from someone I know:

Yesterday Today and Tomorrow. The flowers were much wilted, but they smelled good.

Here are two more flowering trees in my back yard:

The white flowers on the right are probably the same as the other two already posted. The purplish flowers on the left are:

I do not know what they are.

Yeah, no idea on those.

Looks like a cool backyard though, with all the trees. (even if train tracks are too close) :)

It may be selfish of me to say this, but I'm a bit sad because Uncle jkm isn't coming. I wish he would come back here to visit again, even if it's just once in a while. To the extent that it's not too much work.

Tsk, tsk, @harmonic turquoise. Summoning Uncle jkm will only lead to a flurry of absurdity. Sorry for the long absence, my friends, time in the lab is consuming. Case in point, I spent many days trying to perfect a certain shade of orange. I no longer fancy orange. At least not for a while. And until products pass through my lab, they are not put into production, which means nobody else at the company can work on them until the testing is done and perfected. But I am not complaining; I like the work. Because I get to destroy things most of the time. Quite therapeutic.

Oh, yes. A flower for our garden. Here is a moth orchid.

I will do my best to pop in whenever possible. Wishing everyone happiness and good cheer as you go about your respective lives.

Here are speedwell flowers (Veronica persica). They are tiny, being about 1 cm in size:

Here is a small part of my front yard, with various plants labeled. Virginia creeper is a neat-looking creeping vine, and one thing about it is that it enjoys the same environment as poison ivy, and so there is no surprise that there is poison ivy near it. Just to the right of this photo are lots of white bleeding hearts, yellow-flowering weeds, and hostas. I will share photos of them soon.

I had no idea what that might be, but an image search suggests a kind of dogwood (is its bark is worse than its bite?)

Here are white bleeding hearts. They are the flowers hanging off of the horizontal branches. These are Lamprocapnos spectabilis 'Alba'. And that cultivar has been given the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

On the bottom right are hostas. They will bloom later.

Here are more of them, by the apple tree:

I am not sure what those small yellow flowers are.

Here are some close-ups:

The yellow flowers look like greater celandine to me.  In the UK it is also known as the swallow flower as it starts to flower when the swallows return.  The sap is an orange colour and stains everything it touches.

My peonies. :)

As @Myssterry discovered, the yellow-flowering weeds are greater celandine. Here is a close-up showing the flowers as seen from the front, back, and side view:

celandine2.png

These are sometimes confused with celandine poppy. But one way to tell them apart are the seed pods. Greater celandine has seed pods that look like hands with long thin fingers reaching up toward the sky:

Also, the purplish flowering tree seems to be lilac. Here are more recent pics of the flowers:

Some tiny purplish wildflowers that reseeded themselves after I planted a mix of seeds last year. So far these are the only ones that came back on their own. I'm not sure what they are. They look whiter in the pic, more color in real life.

In my front garden, we have creeping buttercup (Ranunculus repens):

A closer view of the flowers is:

Our greater celandine has four petals. These have five. On Monday, I will post some of our flowers that have six petals.

Something of a rainy, cloudy day today (actually very nice and pleasant temperature after some very hot days, and I was able to take my walk when the rain "took a break", the air is always so fresh after it has rained), but the flowers still very beautiful 😌

I am very happy to see so many flowers I have never seen before❤️ Thank you all for planting so many flowers in this garden. The flower bleeding hearts was particularly impressive. They have a nice brooch-like shape.

The hydrangeas in my garden have started to bloom. The rainy season may be near.

These are the leaves, and I thought they were beautiful after the rain, with the water droplets glistening on them.
