Abageal Posted March 20, 2018 Share Posted March 20, 2018 I've known about and read the AVEN forums for quite a few years now, but never got up the courage to join in the conversation. I've known and identified with the term Asexual for about five years now, when a friend was researching sexuality and trying to learn more about herself. For the first few months, I was in a bit of denial about it, but have learned since then that I'm happy with my identity and that I just have to navigate the avenues of what that means as they come. Reading the AVEN forums over the years has given me a lot of insight on the different things I've faced, as well as making me feel much less alone. My roommate/friend finally convinced me that I should join the forums. I may not be as active as I'd like due to college, but I'm excited to be a member! Link to post Share on other sites

From time to time, I still struggle a bit with being asexual, but I've definitely come to be proud of my identity and what that means to my day to day life.
