I think it went really well, and I'm super proud of myself for gathering the courage to do this.Here is the link, I'm on the first half of the podcast (the first four or so minutes are just the last program going over I think):http://www.cfax1070.com/Media/CFAX-Podcasts/CFAX-Afternoons/January-15-2014-10amI know that it's not perfect, but I tried my best to emphasize the variety in asexuality and to never give an absolute statement beyond the bare definition, and to talk about everyone at least a little. It was only half an hour, so obviously not a full Asexuality 101, but not bad if I say so myself.Please excuse me while I make myself a celebratory cake ;)My small piece in the general visibility effort! Heart Posted January 15, 2014 Author Share Posted January 15, 2014 Ya, that last question was really tricky. It really triggered me personally to stress out, and I just wanted to yell at him. But I think I did a really good job of answering; I didn't deny sexual fluidity, but I tried to emphasize that asexuality can be as stable a thing as any orientation... It was hard to say that asexuality is as permanent as anything else without denying fluidity... Heart Posted January 20, 2014 Author Share Posted January 20, 2014 As of right now, my facebook post has more than 40 likes, and almost as many comments (that's a lot for me, I don't have a million friends :P ). That means that I am single-handedly responsible for more than 40 people actually listening to a whole half hour speil about asexuality!!! And that's not even including the two people that shared it too! It's also started four more conversations with people. Every time I put something up on facebook about asexuality, especially if I make clear that I myself am ace, I get a few people who message me privately to ask more questions. I always take the time to answer them as properly as I am able, and now one even wants to go for coffee to talk about it. Everyone's been super respectful, and it's good practice too at answering these sorts of questions ;D Just needed to celebrate a little somewhere, thanks for listening everyone :D This interview is quickly becoming the best half hour of the year! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
