JJButterworth
I was just looking at the Blue Jays', Toronto's pro baseball team, schedule for the upcoming season and during pride and the next few days the following pride they are in town. I was wondering if anyone that will be coming in from out of town, and even local folks, would be interested in getting a group together for a game. I was thinking that a game in the first series of the homestand against the New York Yankees (June 23-25) would be of the most interest. Here is the schedule for the homestand: June 23-25 vs New York Yankees, all games start at 7:07pm June 26-29 vs Chicago White Sox, games on the 26th and 27th start at 7:07pm and the games on the 28th an 29th conflict with the asexuality conference and pride marches. So they are a no-go. (the game on the 27th conflicts with the Trans* March) July 1-2 vs Milwaukee Brewers, the game on the 1st starts at 1:07pm and the game on the 2nd starts at 12:37pm If we can get at lest 20, or there about, confirmed by the end of April then I will be able to get a group discount. So, is there any interest?
Zash
500 level (nose bleed) tickets are only $15 a head. Not sure if they get a view of the jumbotron though
JJButterworth
500 level (nose bleed) tickets are only $15 a head. Not sure if they get a view of the jumbotron though Well, if we get 20 people we can get the cost down to $12 for the Yankees games and $10 for the other games. As for the view of the Jumbotron as long as you are behind the plate you can get a good view, but MLB rules require that all video boards only display a still image during an at-bat. So even if you can not see it at that well you won't miss too much.
michaeld
I'd like to in principle - baseball is one of the few North American sports I actually understand and like watching - but I'd be more likely to make it after the WP weekend than before. I'm considering splitting this off into a separate thread. Any objections?

I'm considering splitting this off into a separate thread. Any objections? I have no objections to splitting this in to it own thread. The thing is that after opening day the Canada day game is the hardest game to get tickets to, especially if the team is doing well, and that only leaves the next day as the only game left on the week after WP. If it is what people want then we can make it work.
michaeld
I belatedly decided to split this off. - michaeld (AVEN PT) Update: I'm in Toronto from Monday 23 June (early) to Friday 4 July. However that entire first week is still pretty difficult for me... especially Wednesday-Friday.
Zash
I am up for it, I am a Torontonian. However, I wouldn't be able to make the Canada Day game (July 1st) because I will be celebrating it and my grandfather's birthday (which happens to be on the first too)
chair jockey
I live in Toronto so I could make it on any of the days indicated. The best value is probably the outfield 200-level because it offers an excellent view of the whole field except the last few feet before the nearest part of the wall, plus there isn't nearly as much climbing of ramps as to get up to the nosebleeds. sparky_arb
I'd love to go! I live in Whitby so I can more or less go any of the mentioned dates.
Wheo
I'm not for sure going to World Pride yet (need to set out a budget timeline etc.), but if I do, I'm definitely interested. I'd probably get the whole week off, and thus would prefer the New York Yankees game...but if everyone else wants another, then that's fine, too (I'm game, in other words). JJButterworth
In a last ditch effort to gauge interest, I am bumping this tread. I will also bump the poll.
