The Russian song that touches me the most is

'Bednyazhka' ('Poor Thing') by 'Korol' i Shut' ('The King and The Joker'). RIP Gorshok 19.07.2013 :(

It's remarkable for the use of the violin in horror punk. Also, I love its philosophic verses (TW: mental health):

I was consoling her, 'Don't lose heart, darling:

Frankly speaking, we're all out of our minds.

Hiding our shortcomings deep inside,

We know very little about ourselves'.

Summary: Hero visits his loved woman in a psychiatric hospital. She's feeling worthless, craving a child from her doctor. He's helpless with her insanity, struggling with the desire to abandon her.

I love songs in other languages! I don't know that many though (the majority I know are kpop/jpop/cpop but I'll refrain from posting those here since finding artists in those languages isn't as hard as doing so with other languages) but nonetheless:

French:

(Just realized I should've posted the subbed version instead of the one without the eng translation--whoops! And the artist who sang the above song also has songs in English and has a song with the same instrumental but English lyrics and the songs are sorta like a conversation. song here)

Icelandic:

I didn't like Zankyou no Terror but it's OST is phenomenal

German:

(can't get them to show up as videos for some reason)

I hardly ever listen to German music, but I'll make an exception for good punk rock. "Junge" by Die Ärzte is epic! Gotta love it.

I love Die Ärzte!

Speaking of German music, I love this song, because of all the references in it. Here is a translation.

I don't like that type of music, but the lyrics of 'Lieder' are genius, I'll give you that :)

Love this song so much:

The paid and free versions of CeVIO are going to finally have the first French-speaking 'vocaloid', ALYS (it was initially intended for Vocaloid, but won't appear on that software), and oh my goodness, how magnificent she is! (Her vocal provider is Poucet.)

Dans Mon Monde (In My World) [see the lyrics in the description]

Avenir (Future)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXj6il9uoH4

Lyrics / Paroles:

Décide toi-même de ton "happy ever after"

The lyrics are beautiful. I like the chorus of Dans mon Monde where it goes:

Je veux sortir de moi

De ma vie de mon ennui

Aller bien plus haut que moi
Être celle qu’au fond je suis
Tellement loin de la
Petite fille qui subit sa propre vie
Folie et audace, je le crie
Avant que ça ne s’efface

From Avenir, I liked: 'Entends-moi!

I don't know why, but the instrumentals for the second song reminded me of Just Awake by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

One of my favourite songs by my all time favourite band Krypteria is in latin (I understand none of it...).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKGoVxd799E

I do, however, speak enough Chinese to enjoy this song from the movie 'I Not Stupid Too' (the timing of the subtitles is off, but the English is a fairly decent translation) and this song, which I've always found particularly inspiring.

Here is another one. Parodic Folk Pop Romantic Country Disco Tacky Wild-Ass Pastiche, Warm-hearted, too. Not Spain, but Russian. This must be all but Elitist, I guess.

Name of the singer is Nadezhda Kadysheva. Name of the song is Vinovata li ja (Do you blame me? in English)

I didn't like Zankyou no Terror but it's OST is phenomenal

I thought Zankyou no Terror was only average (mostly because I couldn't stand one of the characters), but I agree that the OST is amazing. I have spells where I'll have the OST on repeat for a week at a time. :)

As for my contribution:

"Sora mo Toberu Hazu" by Spitz

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-kQw4JqCHE

English translation of lyrics

"Sora mo Toberu Hazu" by Spitz

Unable to lower this childlike fever, I fear god's shadow

A hidden knife that does not suit me, comforts me with a silly melody

As I fade, as the cracks begin to show, I search for a way to shine

The miracle of our meeting overflows in my heart

Surely I should be able to fly freely now

If only the tears that soaked my dreams would flow into the depths of the sea

I hope that you'll forever stay smiling by my side

Under the full moon, you easily see through the lie that was my trump card

The fleeting scent of your flowing hair wakes me from my deep slumber

The miracle of our meeting overflows in my heart

Surely I should be able to fly freely now

Even if this world that glitters with garbage should throw us away

I hope that you'll forever stay smiling by my side

The miracle of our meeting overflows in my heart

Surely I should be able to fly freely now

If only the tears that soaked my dreams would flow into the depths of the sea

I hope that you'll forever stay smiling by my side
