Synchrèse
I love the way Yiddish sounds... I first came across this language when I heard Chava Alberstein's Rivkele, beautiful and really moving song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpilXpuFVD8
Mafer_Potter
I'm checking out all the songs being shared, but I just needed to share these: This is a lovely one, in japanese. I don't know japanese but I think it's so gorgeous! Also, it's quite romantic, because it talks about how a red string unites people being destinated to be together. :) Now, this one I adore, it's in my mother language, Spanish. By Spanish singer Ana Torroja. And this one, in Italian, by Italian singers Andrea Bocelli and Elisa Toffolli, performing live in Tuscany. I have no words to describe how much I adore their voices together. And (and now I am done ;)) something from my own country, Venezuela. A song of Ilan Chester and the Central University of Venezuela (my Alma Mater) Orpheon

virtua
The classic Chinese pop song, Mouse Loves Rice, sung in Mandarin: Lyrics and English translation of the song This is from the 1993 documentary about the nomadic Romani people, the Spanish flamenco song, El pájaro negro. The song starts from the beginning of the video but the actual singing doesn't begin until 2:00 minutes in. This is a Dutch rap song called Afscheid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXBoSohcxQQ They lyrics are in the description on the video page.

Earth Sprite
Last year I saw the Inner Mongolian group Hanggai in Finland. Here is Hanggai live performance in Helsinki in 2013. Some of the members of the group are Mongolians, some are Han Chinese. They are singing in Mongolian. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVv_9rVtqyM (Technical quality of the video isn´t good.) iff
cate le bon in welsh a youtube user iambenellis translates this as: English Translation: Oh love turns in every direction, complex is the feeling that sparks after a touch. Free is the starling to a tender melody that calls, a wave that pays the fine, your love is like the tide. The flow of the river like an echo through my heart that is so abandonded -- the light of the sun is on us. Lift your bow, take a straight arrow and shoot. My heart is in grief, best friend do your worst. Love, oh what love, love, oh what love. Love, oh what love, love, oh what love. css - la liberacion which looking at youtube comments is in spanish

Naturegirlrocks
http://youtu.be/bifoR1jJ4lY Peter LeMarc "Du är bra" (Swedish) This song often makes me cry. It has a wonderful message. Translation to English: Come, wash away all makeup Your lipstick and mascara There is nothing That you need to pretend to be So let the curtain go down And then tell what you see It is you You are waiting for life To kiss you on the cheek Oh, It just kissed you cheek Or was it maybe the wind You didn't notice it Yes, where were you just now? You own something You don't know that you have Maybe it is that that makes you wonderful When you reveal your wounds So I can love and understand That you are good Small stains on your skin A lost glance Something frail in your look As I something in you just burst All that you think is wrong Makes you human, makes you whole Makes you good If you look back and think That you did the best you could do If you are looking for the key You are already holding in your hand So regret nothing Never ever anything Erase your guilt It drags you down in the mud When you could sail As an arrow high upon the sky Walk with your back straight And be sure of one thing You are good You are special You fit me perfectly Everything motley that is you So un-perfect in some way You carry your life's history As a rusty halo But you are good What do you have to loose? What are you defending? When you have counted your days Is everything you leave behind A cracked, old box With a cracked mask

Artistofnoname
I really like how this was rewritten for the German audience. So much more sinister for a Disney villain song.
jebadesu
When you walk above the clouds You're weaving a net of your dreams You don't belong in this world You're just in love with it Your smile stirs planets You're knocking on heaven's door I hear the sound of your heels Which are made of gold When you walk above the clouds Watch your every step I know that from above everything seems more beautiful I want to be the air that you breathe While you disappear in clouds of smoke You briefly turn to look at me I will remember your face Whether you want me to or not You're drifting towards new dreams Don't leave everything behind you So you'll have somewhere to return to When you walk above the clouds Watch your every step I know that from above everything seems more beautiful I want to be the air that you breathe
nerdperson777
The only foreign song I know. I'm fooling myself into thinking I'm good by trying to be both a soprano and a tenor in the same song. Once I was singing to this while playing Left 4 Dead 2, quite silly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khznWuH3VTs
Ortac
I have loved going through all the songs posted so far on this thread. Here are my contributions.Markus Becker - Das rote PferdNovelty German pop music at its best! My knowledge of the German language is nonexistent, but a German person told me that this song is about red horse who is persistently bothered by a pesky fly! Al Bano & Romina Power - FelicitaAn Italian pop classic. I don’t know much Italian, but love this song anyway. I do know though that Felicita means happiness! Niagara – Je dois m’en aller.1980’s French pop rock at its best ! This group came from Rennes in Brittany. I think this is somewhat appropriate for AVEN. During the verse, the song is saying “I want to love you up, I want your kisses, cuddles, velvet, blah blah blah”, and then the chorus is saying “I must go! I don’t want to love you anymore! Got to forget everything, get lost blah blah…” I will admit that all of these are songs that I listen to on my mp3 player and also in my car!
