gypsy_princess
I see a lot of interesting usernames on here, and sometimes i wonder "where does it come from?". i'm really curious ^_^ mine comes from a song by Marina And The Diamonds, "Just Desserts". I was listening to it when i signed up on AVEN. i didn't know what name to choose, i heard the lyrics "heartbreak's hard when you don't have a plastic heart, you sent me in through the cinnamon stars coz you tasted so bitter but the bitter was sweet" and so i chose cinnamonstars :D and you, how and why did you choose your username? :)
5_♦♣
I've changed my name a few times since I've been here. I can't be bothered to explain why I chose my past names, so I'll just explain why I chose my current one. And the reason being: I recently (within the past month) got addicted to code geass. And I really like CC from code geass, hence my name.

catcat
I'm boring: My name is Cat, but for a while I was living in Indonesia, where "Cat" isn't really a name (in Bahasa it's pronounced "chat" and means "to paint"), so my co-workers modified my name to "Cat-cat," and I realized that I really liked it. When I moved to England I was sorely tempted to ask people to call me Cat-cat, but I already get enough funny looks for my "utterly incomprehensible" accent, figured I didn't want to rock the boat any more than necessary.
Seraph's Embrace
My name's based off an item from League of Legends - since it means "an angel's hug", I thought it was a nice tone to go for :)
icelloe
a combination of the word ice and elloe (a doll type thing I played with years ago). I've been using it on a lot of sites for a while because it's never taken by anyone else.
The Great WTF
My sophomore year literature teacher dubbed me 'The Great What The Fuck' in honor of my ability to make almost anyone go, well, 'What the fuck?' or some similar variant. I also apparently had some very impressive 'WTF' faces of my own to throw at people.
vickyo
It's not original of me, really. : D "vicky" is a short version of "Victoria", which is a very similar name to mine and much easier to pronounce for English people, and "o" is the first letter of my surname. Also, I've used "vickyo" on depression's forum.
kaykwitch
Mine is based on a childhood nickname (my father called me Sweet Cakes, my real name is Kayla) the inside joke with my friends that I'm a witch (turn people into newts, ride a broomstick, melt when wet witch, not wiccan witch).

ObsessedWithCats
It was my defining trait when I signed up to fanfiction.net and I've since tried to use some variant of it wherever I sign up with a screen name. My love of cats is much less fleeting than my other interests.

Vyanni Krace
Mine was originally the name of one of my favourite characters within a complex story I made up in my head years ago when I was about 9, and still consider writing down now. That characters name changed many times, until finally I settled on 'Vyanni Krace'. I liked the name so much that, despite it being more feminine that what I normally go for, I decided to use it as my online-name. Each and every account I own is under some sort of variation of 'Vyanni Krace'. I also like it because it is completely, and entirely made up and means nothing at all except what I want it to mean. I prefer it to my real name, it just comes to me so much more naturally.
Mobocracy
Awhile ago, I was trying to come up with a name for some internet game, but whatever I kept coming up with was already taken. So, I eventually looked up a synonym for "chaos" in a thesaurus, and Mobocracy came up. And, most importantly, no one else had taken it yet. Now, I really like the name, so I'm keeping it.
oreiayean
I get mine from my head. It is a name I really adore and if I ever manage to have children, it is the name I'd like to give to my first born (preferrably first born son) :)
oog
oog is what people who know me as oogardner call me. oogardner is pretty much my online moniker. if i'm online somewhere. oogardner is my display name.
Squirrel Combat
Squirrels are my favorite animal (that exists) and what a better way to poke fun at the gun nuts than to have the squirrel be a gunslinger. Plus this little guy here had his acorns stolen by a chipmunk so knew he would have to up the ante on his defense tactics ;).
Balsa the Spearwielder
The main character of the anime series Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit. It would serve me very well to be more like her; perhaps having her name as my username would make me feel like I need to live up to her example.
Masque_Ace
Mine comes from my phobia of my face being on the internet. I am compelled to hide my face on any e-forum, hence the 'masque'. I figure most of you can guess where the Ace part is from :P
Diceman
I love playing craps. It's the most fun you can have at a casino table game. Everyone's shouting at the table and throwing dice around, tossing chips on numbers. It's fun because everyone is on the same side and playing the same number, so when you win everyone wins. Plus you get to make all sorts of individual side bets based on your playing style. So much fun!
Vanadis
I'm extremely interested in Norse mythology; my name is one of the many names of the Norse goddess Freyja. Though this is the first time I've used Vanadis, I use Freyja almost everywhere. Or, rather, the compound freyjawillow (I'm a Pisces, and the willow tree is the tree that corresponds with Pisces) as Freyja is usually taken.
Serrated
I have a random obsession with pocket knives, and when I registered for AVEN, I happened to be browsing serrated knives on Amazon. :)

DrifterInTheUniversalSoul
Just my view of the world as of a few days ago. Instead of being an individual, I suppose I just felt like a drifter in the whole of the universal soul. (sounds so philisophical when put that way, but it's really not.)
PumpkinVine
I love Halloween, and "Pumpkin" was already taken, so PumpkinVine was my second choice. Also, if I had the guts, I would get a pumpkin/jack-o-lantern with pumpkin ivy vines tattoo :)
cdrdash
Mine is my initials C.D.R. followed by part of my nickname as a kid, Dashy. So cdrdash. It originally came about because I had such a common name, Cathy Roberts, that forms of it like croberts or robertsc, or cathyroberts or robertscathy, etc. etc. were always taken on sites. By the time I got to AVEN it had just become a habit to always use cdrdash as my user name. Although I do confess that I first came on AVEN with a secret user name because I didn't want any of my friends to know I was on the site. I think I used rdc1691. Its my birth year followed by my initials but spelled backwards. But after I was out to most people as an asexual I changed it to cdrdash. I do like using the same user name nearly everywhere. Only one site, webmd, wouldn't let me use cdrdash. Webmd will not allow the letters "dr" to appear in a user name as its the abbreviation of doctor. And actually if you say my user name "C" "DR" "DASH" it sounds like "see Doctor Dash". Which might be a good advertisement if I was a doctor named Dash! For the curious I ended up using the user name cdenshawr on webmd. Thats my first initial, my middle name, and my last initial! Cathy
