I was considering how very in the minority I am and wondered if Introversion is a minority among people who identify as Asexual.

Extreme introvert too. Always get 100% introversion in MBTI.

Slight introvert/Ambivert. I've gotten more extroverted and sometimes my Myers-Briggs shows up with extrovert but it still surprises me every time it does. I can put on a good facade of seeming like an extrovert but I still enjoy being by myself more.

Another MBTI 100% introvert here. It's not that i don't like people - they just tire me out really quickly, unless we know each other well.

..I need my space and serenity.

I think introvertedness is common amongst people on the Internet.

Very Very true

Extreme introvert... I'm pretty much a hermit (with internet access and satellite TV, but still. :D) and scored 89% on the "I" part of Meyer-Briggs.

I'd say I'm an ambivert but tend to fall more on the side of introversion :) I don't mind going to parties or large gatherings but I get bored and uncomfortable after about an hour and want to go home.

Extremely extreme introvert. I've been told by quite a number of people that I'm the quietest person they have ever met. I also perfer being alone (I've been such a hermit before that I've gone more than a week without speaking one word outloud.)

On the (extreme) other hand, I'm an excellent speaker, have a strong wit, and lead people well. I don't normally care what people think about me, which is why I don't often put too much effort in talking if I don't feel like it. But there are situations where people wouldn't call me extreme introvert. I call it "acting" (choosing to talk if I wish).

Ambivert here. I'm pretty shy so I often appear somewhat introveted, but I often feel energized around people. I flip flop on the I/E scale of MBTI as well.

I would probably say I'm an ambivert, because it's very situational. I don't think I'm particularly shy, and when I was a kid I was pretty outgoing. I am extremely self-conscious though, and I don't like saying stupid things or annoying people, so I don't generally initiate conversation with strangers. However, I'm not always averse to strangers talking to me, and I've actually made a few close friends in class because I made conversation with the people next to me.

If I'm alone in a big group I tend to keep to myself, but if I'm with a few close friends who "have my back" I'm not afraid to talk to more people. I'm a pretty private person and I need my me time, but I like talking to people. I don't really like parties, but I do like personal gatherings with people I know pretty well. I really like hanging out with people in low-key settings, but if I spent a Friday night at home alone it probably wouldn't be the end of the world for me.

Definitely lean towards intravert though.

Introvert. I don´t think I´m extreme introvert though. But maybe I´ve just learned to deal with social situations finally after many years...?

Ambivert, leaning towards extravert. Although I can spend long periods happily alone, I love face-to-face contact with people.

Odd to have the same poll question twice  but I am extremely introverted bordering non-sociability.

Introvert. Slight hermit, but I will go out if there is something I want/have to do. I didn't go for the extreme introvert answer because when I get to know people I open up, A LOT. And being a musician I play shows (at least once a month) and have never felt shy on stage. I actually open up on stage and lose myself.

Extreme introvert, I guess. Not quite the 100% on the MBTI others are getting, but I never get anything lower than 85%. And I know this is the internet and all, but 51% are 'extreme'? Bit surprising (in a good way).

I'm definitely an ambivert, and I didn't know there was a term for it - I just figured I had split personalities or something. I prefer being alone, but I get along with new people very easily and I'm usually pretty outgoing when I'm with friends. I guess I'm pretty adaptable to new environments, but I definitely have my preference.

Only extrovert at the moment. MBTI likes to call me an Introvert sometimes, but I know I can't live without interacting with people, it's what charges my batteries so to speak.

Where? I looked for this specific poll and didn't find one.

I could quite happilly live in a cave, living off the land and getting the occasional visitor. I couldn't put extreme intro. as I do like MSN'ing, but I adore sitting in my room and get most frustrated on weekends when some lame brained family member decides to impose his presence on me.

I can feel crowded in a room with just one person. Because of this my room really is my sanctuary. Socialising!!! Forget about it.

...no...? The above asks the same thing twice, but first question breaks down the extremes but second question seems unnecessary... Unless I'm missing something...

Ok now I get it. I thought you meant there was another poll that was the same. That is odd, but it looks like the introverts are about split in half for plain introvert and extreme introvert. Anyway, thanks Tails, I was confused. :)

I've often wondered what it would be like to live in a lighthouse, on a rock in the middle of the ocean. As long as I have high speed Internet, and can take a 1-2 week break every couple of months to catch up with friends and family, it sounds heavenly to me.

In practice though - my introversion has more to do with "forced interaction" than the simple presence of other people. eg. I actually enjoy living in a busy and crowded urban environment, as long as I still have my own sanctuary in the middle of all that. The mere presence of people doesn't bother me - it's having to constantly be directly engaged with it that does. I've stayed with friends in crowded group households for weeks at a time and it was fine, because the sharing of headspace was somehow in sync with my standards the whole time - but at other times, I can't stand someone's 1-on-1 presence for more than an hour - because they're the type who has to be "right there" the whole time, and I can't switch off around them.
