I love this thread. I was always having trouble separating kinks from sex. But reading through here has helped me to understand that differentiation.

For example, I have been tied down before and it was enjoyable at first but it led to sexual interactions that totally ruined it for me. I guess for me it really was the trust and experiencing different feelings (feathers, cold air, warm air, a couple of swats from a riding crop) at the discretion of my partner. I think this is a very difficult question. because when I see certain things I don't really associate them with sex. I don't find these objects/scenarios arousing by themselves.
