Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Killing Floor, L4D 1+2, Skyrim. At the moment I'm focusing on Starcraft so I can do well when the expansion comes out next month.

Xbox wise, Halo 4. I plan on getting Borderlands 2, Dark Souls, DmC and some Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six game.

Rainbow 6 is a decent game, pretty straightforward shooter and not much story, but it will hold your interest. :) Borderlands 2 is a blast, you'll love it. :)

I want a shooter that isn't just rush in and kill anything that moves.

You'll like Rainbow6 then. If you like to sniper, it's a blast. You're clearing out buildings and areas but it isn't like you're being rushed and you have to randomly shoot. It's more about placing your squad in strategic positions.

Awesome! I'm a big sniper lover :P

Oh,me too! Borderlands 2 is a fun sniper game too,if you choose to play as the Assassin. You can sniper with any character, but he gets the best loot in the form of sniper rifles. The Assassin becomes a bit difficult when you get to the higher levels because his bonus skill is "run and hide like a little bitch." The Commando gets a really cool turret you can toss out and it's like having a second person firing alongside you.

I tried the demo of "Sniper Elite" up on XBox Live and there doesn't seem to be too much story, but the snipering is fun.

Yay GW 2 :D Oh man I haven't played in forever though because of school and stupid things getting in the way :P

If you like Indie games and tower defense games I recommend Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten. It's an RPG-Tower Defense hybrid. The game is tons of fun, has an interesting and original story, and there's lots of replay value.

I just finished Ni no Kuni. I would recommend it to anyone, even my toddler loves it =P In fact, I might play it again.

Also running my twenty-millionth play of FFVIII, because <3 Laguna.

sunako, is MC2 any good? I was thinking about getting it if I can find it at a decent price. But not this month, this months game money is already spent on Atelier Rorona xD

Ni No Kuni is a game anyone can play. It's refreshing to have a kind hearted boy as a protagonist instead of the typical muscular, apathetic, grizzled warrior we get a lot in video games (not that there's anything wrong with this character, it's just nice to have variety). There were so many elements in the game from other Ghibli movies that at times it really felt like I was watching a Ghibli movie.

I also really enjoyed the game's take on fairies :P They live in a town that looks for like Vegas than a traditional RPG hidden-village-in-the woods.

Yes! I thought the idea of Welsh faeries was just ... so obvious. How has no-one done it before, mun?! Best faeries ever =D Tidy!

I tried that demo too. The sniping was fun but got boring quite fast. I seemed like just showing off the visual effects and slomo. I just like marksman classes, it's all about finesse and getting that critical, surprise attack.

Another gamer reporting in!

I play mostly MMORPGs, LotRO being my game at the moment, occasionally Star Trek Online. Oh, and I've gotten stuck to Settlers Online, though it's getting a bit boring...

I did play city builders, strategy games and rpgs until WoW happened, and now kind of feel I'd like to play a city builder again (like Master of Olympus, Rise of the Middle Kingdom). Anyone know a good, modern game?

Any Zelda fans here? Because if there are you're going to be VERY happy. They're releasing two games on the the wii-u, one is a remake for wind waker that I thought was stupid til I saw the graphics (omg so beautiful) and they're making a new title where they're going to change up EVERYTHING. Real mulitplayer option, trashing the linear game play, dungeons are going to be huge and out of order, omg can't wait :D

Here's the demo from the 2011 E3

I'm so excited for the Windwaker remake :D That game was my childhood.

It means I'll have to buy a WiiU though. Hopefully the price will drop later :)

The new title sounds interesting I haven't really heard anything about it but I like that they're doing something different, sounds like its gonna be good! :D

I guess I'll be getting a Wii U for these two when they come out then xD

I had zero interest in the wii-u until I saw those graphics. I think I actually drooled :D

They're keeping a super-tight lid on the untitled game, nobody knows where it's taking place in the time line, what's going on, if there's going to be actual talking this time, NOTHING. That's not even a real scene from the game, they just put a scenario together to show off the wii-u for E3. My hope is it's about the war for the triforce that Zelda mentioned in OoT, when the sacred realm was created and the temple of time made to guard it along with the introduction of the Ocarina of Time and the seven sages.

Personally I would've wanted a remake of OoT for the wii-u but I guess they figured a remake for the DS was enough. Jerks <_<

Currently? Guildwars 2 *points to the icon* XD

I haven't played GW2 in forever because of school. It's the only MMORPG I've ever really enjoyed. I've talked to so many people on GW2 who love it and swear they will never play WoW again :P

I don't understand why some people seem to prioritise graphics, it brings very little to the actual game most of the time.

Yes very much this... I personally don't see the significance of graphics in some AAA games. I find that a lot of indie games, alothough simple games, can have extraordinary gameplay experiences big budget developers simply wouldn't dare to do. Games like Fez, Minecraft, Retro/Grade and Super Meatboy have at least won or been nominated for best independent game awards.

Eh... I miss the old days where gameplay, graphics and multiplayer experiences where at the same level... **Reminiscing Perfect Dark**

All I pretty much ever play these days is Minecraft.
Occasionally I'll pick up another (DEBATE: should this just be a? - "another" implies that the formentioned game "Minecraft" is in the, about to be mentioned, "Steam Libary", which is errorous) game out of my steam library but since I run lbuntu most of the time it is too much effort for me to do so.

i don't like gw2 more because there isn't any replay value.

everything you can do while leveling, you can do at max level.

i haven't played it since september, have they added raids or anything to do at 80?

I got hooked on Skyrim, big time. -_-

I've managed to get up to level 42, going onto 43, but I've been putting in hours a day, and after a while it gives me a headache, especially when I'm on a mission underground. Ugh..the graphics can be disorienting underground.

Before that I hardly played video games. Then, last December, while I was visiting my sister, I found Skyrim. I heard good reviews about it, so I decided to give it a try. I am not sure if this is a good thing or not, but this game has revived the inner video game geek in me. I just wish I could just stooooopppppp!! X_x

Once I maxed out my first character I went and made another that was a different race and class. So that's where I got my replay value from :)

There are special dungeons you can do when you're Level 80. I'm not sure if they have added anything else big since I haven't played in a while. There are those special monthly events and new stories they are adding, but anyone can play them. Being Level 80 just makes thing easier :P

I don't understand why some people seem to prioritise graphics, it brings very little to the actual game most of the time.

If you want my opinion, I think every element in a game is important. If one element suffers for the sake of another, then the differences will be startling. To be honest, I generally don't care so much about the amount of pixels or polygons shoved onto the screen as much as I genuinely care about the art direction. Games like Okami and Journey would be a shell of what they actually are if they used bland art direction. Graphics and art direction alone are not enough to make the game, but I argue that it is still an important element of game design. (Also, with mention of Okami, I should probably mention that games like that really show how gameplay and aesthetic can interact together beautifully, so while graphics have little to do with gameplay, art direction can have a large influence.)

As a bit of an aside though, I think that horror games should be visually ugly to some extent. Filling in too many details can really destroy the tension and atmosphere, which I think is partially why the indie market seems to be having more success in the horror genre at the moment. Obviously, I don't feel that any lazy art direction does what is intended, but graphical limitations have made a difference in the design of horror games, most notably being the reason why there was heavy fog in the original Silent Hill.

Overall, what I'm saying is that the graphical prowess isn't what's important; it's what they do with those graphics that makes a big deal.

Like the PS4 stuff. A friend of mine linked me the killzone vid and the graphics are really nice, but gameplay wise it seems to be the same things as the current FPS games we have to choose from already.

I'm waiting for the next Zelda game to release on Wii-U and hopefully by then the price would have dropped...

Right now I'm playing Lego Lord of the Rings!
