I had extremely long hair for most of my life, donating it a few times and then finally deciding to keep it short around age 15 when I got tired of it and didn't like how it looked on me. Pretty much everyone agrees short hair strongly suits me, and I much prefer the feel and convenience of it, too. I am agender and female-bodied.

I let it do what it wants. No combing, only as much cutting as the rest of the family eventually demands. This generally results in short hair that eventually starts looking like Beast's or Wolverine's.

Male. Short hair. Think Daniel Craig's Casino Royale cut, just a little shaved/shorter (a number 4 around the sides/back and blended in. Not quite as cool a description as his Martini specifications) and not as thinning around the top front.

What is the cut-off between short and long hair? I'm growing mine out from very short and its currently about shoulder length (or, "medium length") but before I cut it short is was very long. It changes ever couple of years. I get bored easily.

I identify as female, and I wear my hair at about shoulder length, so I selected long. I don't really do it up fancy or anything, just down and straight.

*Cut it myself when it starts getting a bit too long - a pair of hairdressing scissors was one of the best investments I ever made. It's a bit frightening the first time but after that, you just think 'Ah what the heck, it'll grown agin :D ' *

I'd love to be able to cut my own hair - that would be so much cheaper and no more strangers fussing about my head.

I'm getting pretty good at cutting my own hair. I like to keep it relatively short. (for society's 'rules' on female hair.) I use my chin/jaw-line as a guide and just start cutting. It's shorter and layered in the back. (chin length in the front.)

btw: I am female bodied... I hate being a woman, but I guess I don't really identify as anything else. ...I've never really thought about it one way or the other.

I'm male and my hair is long for a guy so that's what I am judging it off of its about 5 inches long.

I'm pretty generally female, but I keep my hair cut in a sort of pixie. I need to trim it again actually, I'm getting irritatingly shaggy.

Another reason I won't wear my hair short is because my worst enemy has short hair!

I have long curly/kinky hair kinda like this except a bit longer and more frizzy and wild lol.

I'm biologically female.

I have straight hair that's down to my waist. I don't like it much longer or it gets in the way so I keep it at this length. I like to wear it down because I like to show it off. I also like to do things with it on occasion. My favorite thing about long hair is all of the things you can do with it!
