Chanter
Native language: English, though my dialect is an odd mix of Midwestern, Canadian, British, Irish and a bunch of other influences Other spoken languages: Spanish (not fluent, but working on it), Morse code, a little Portuguese, a very little Dutch, a very little Mandarin Country of origin: United States Country of residence: United States Parents' home country(s): United States as well for both of them; Mom's family is all German (from near the Polish border apparently, so in the heart of the old GDR), Dad's family is English, Scottish and Irish (and I insist there's Welsh in there too somewhere, darnit!) Does it count if my ability to recognize a language when hearing it spoken is far, far higher than my knowledge of the language itself? I blame being a gigantic radio geek and having the metaphorical ears like a bat (blind as one, too). See above Morse reference. :)
