I need to know the levels of education for countries other than the US so I can make a poll. So...Non-US folks, please contribute. If I made the poll right now it would look like:

Primary/Grammar School

Secondary/High School

Some college/university

Associates Degree

Bachelors

Masters

PhD

What am I missing out?

What is some college/university? For drop-outs?

Around here we have:

Primary school

Secondary School

Tertiary School: anything below a true professional degree that takes 2-4 years

University: professional degrees (doctor, lawyer, etc.) that take 4+ years to finish

Post grad: Masters degree, and Doctors degree (PhD)

Most polls I've seen on the internet say:

Primary education

Some secondary education

secondary/high school degree or equivalent.

Trades/apprenticeships (I guess this includes professional qualifications)

Some post-secondary education

Finished college/university

Masters degree

You're missing "still a student," I think. It always annoys me when they don't include that option, for me at least, because the one I choose is high school because I'm almost out. However, that would bring about the assumption that I am not in high school, but that I graduated and quit my education at that point, and that therefore I probably don't have a very good career, and am less educated than others. :x

OH! Good point, D.A.M. We *do* have quite a few students here and it would have skewed the results a bit if a large portion of the site only appeared to graduate high school...

I think I'm going to go with the Spockjr list and add 'Still in school' option.

I made the poll, obviously. I spent some time at college.

And, yes, ArgentoX, 'some college' means people who didn't finish college/university.

Everybody is allowed to, of course, I was simply unfamiliar with possible levels of education in countries other than the US and UK. I wanted to be certain I didn't leave anything out that might apply to other countries.

Still in college. I'm a creative writing/outdoor leadership double-major.

Yeah, I know. I've already reigned myself to the fact that I'm never going to be making any money, ever. But hey, I'm going to be doing what I love, and that's what matters most to me. :)

I did 2 separate postgrad courses - a masters and a postgraduate diploma. One day I might get round to doing a PhD, but I'm going to work for a while before going back to it I think.

Got a BA from Lancaster University. I haven't used it, at least in my paid job, but it was fun!

I have a Stage One certificate in Politics from UCLan, but I'm starting again next year. So, half a BA.
