What am I?

Hello.

I'm a 16 year old girl who is confused with my sexuality. I assumed at first I was straight because generally my familly is dating, had sexual relations or are married to the opposite sex. and when I was young one of my neighbors who was 2 years older than me convinced me to do sexual things with him. We never had intercourse, but often he would touch me on my breasts & genatalia, but looking back at it now, I barely had any sexual desire coming out of it. and up to now, I never had any sexual attraction to anybody, boy or girl. And I never had dated anybody. I admit, I do get a sexual desires, but only very little and when I...watch pornography. and I also like hugs. Only recently did I find out the term demisexual and grey-A. From what I read by definition it sound similar to me, but still I'm not sure. What I'm wondering is if anyone here could explain more in depth about demisexual and Grey-A? I would appericiate that. Thank you.

First of all welcome to AVEN. A demisexual is someone who is sexually attracted to someone only when there is romantic bond or a strong emotional bond with the target of their attraction. Where a Gray-A is someone who experiences sexual attraction only sometimes or is attracted to few people.

Keep in mind that just because are asexual does not mean that you can not have a sex drive it's just not directed towards anyone, it just is. Some asexuals do masturbate and some even watch pornography, what asexuality is a lack of sexual attraction and is not defined by behaviour.

What you should ask yourself is "am I attracted to anyone, sexually?"
