Cate Perfect
There're two characters who are very likely asexual. The first is mentioned only once: '...a quiet geometrician at New College called Philip who seemed to have a complete lack of sexual interest in either gender...' And the second is one of the main characters, Amelia. She's forty-five and only had sex once when she was thrity-five because she thought it was sad that she was a thirty-five years old virgin. And there's this about her: 'Perhaps more curious than the fact that there was no one who wanted Amelia was that she, in turn, wanted no one--apart from men in nineteenth-century novels, which put a whole new spin on the idea of "unattainable."' Which I love so much it'll probably be my next sig. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the book so I'll let you know if anything changes, but thus far it's simply a fantastic story.
