Yes, it is written 3-14 here, or 3.14, and it has become a minor event for some types of geeks and other math lovers - not to mention those who can't resist a good (bad?) pun and use it as an opportunity to chow down on pie. With Kbrd working at a bakery, well ... the creation of many, many pies was required. Too bad there isn't a cake day!
