Question - Does English count as a European language anymore?

Why wouldn't it?

Are you asking because it's spoken in many places outside Europe? Since it originated from Europe, is derived from Latin, and has far more in common with other European languages than it does with say, Asian languages, I'd definitely consider it to be a European language.

Actually, english is a cross between the anglo-saxon language, which was germanic, latin, and the native celtic languages (which shows mostly in comparatively funky phonology)

also, The Netherlands, Dutch

We should arrange an European Ace meeting.

That's an interesting idea. Where would it take place? Europe is, after all, quite big 8)

There are Europeans who have a hilarious 'they're not European they are Islanders!' attitude. :)

I am from Poland and I live in another continent now. It is so far away.

It would not surprise me if the Germans have a nickname for every nationality. :D
