My mum practically qualifies as a saint. My dad, not so much... he's still great though. He drinks too much, which is the main problem (he's not an alcoholic though). Also he has a short fuse, and sometimes can seem indifferent. But generally he's pretty awesome.

I'm not a girl or a boy, but my parents were and are fine. My Dad lacks common sense sometimes, but he's a decent person.

Mum walked out when I was 4. She was only 16 when he had me though so I think she just got bored - I used to hate her for it, but not so much anymore. She's been great these past few years.

Dad's wonderful. I can't fault him.

My father was never present. He came occassionally for my birthday but he's not in my live now at all.

I remember crying on Christmas because I thought he was lonely. I never used to be angry with him until I got older and I realized "Hey, you're supposed to have a father figure in your life."

But my mom makes up for it. She's a great, funny, awesome person.

My parents did the best they could. Unfortunately I have Asperger's which was undiagnosed until I was twelve and would easily get overwhelmed and freak out, which could be difficult to deal with. In addition, they are big on respect and for years appeared to assume that I was being intentionally disrespectful (rather than, you know, having no idea what I had done). And then there was the incorrect diagnosis of AD(H)D which resulted on my being on medications which actually made me more difficult to deal with. And my parents were comparatively young when I was born (24) and both worked very hard, so there wasn't that much spare time. And and and.

Our relationship got MUCH better after I was diagnosed and dragged out of the depressive state I was in at the time.
