Being the slightly pervy me I am, I searched it up- and got pics of nice, green, leafy salads! Nice to know that the internet isn't entirely perverted :)

More like a problem but last night I looked up pouch underwear, hearing that it would be good for STP devices.  One of the results was mostly for sexy and erotic underwear.  I saw one that was basically a string tied around the waist with a loop to hold up certain body parts.  It was advertised as wearing something without wearing something.  I'm thinking, that's not clothing, you are not wearing anything.  And why is this string $8?  You could make the same thing for less than $1 with some crafting thought.

I posted this elsewhere recently, but I think it suits this thread:

Quote

something came to mind that happened a few years before I discovered asexuality.

In '98 I was out in Calgary visiting for a week, a female friend that had moved west 10 years before. Other than a couple days visiting her in '95 on a cross country trek, I hadn't spent much time with her. Well the week had gone well and we'd had a lot of fun. She drove me out to the airport and we were standing there hugging, wishing each other good luck. Well I thought it would be a good idea to kiss her on the lips.

"What was that for?" she asked.

I was crushed. I didn't mean it in a sexual or romantic way, but I had had such a good time, I thought it would be way to show her my appreciation for the accommodations and showing me around. I think I said something like I was thanking her for the great week. I don't recall her response (if she had one). It sure cast a cloud on my thoughts of the trip.

I wonder if I wasn't so 'clueless' at the time, I would've known kissing her wasn't such a great idea?

I remember being real little and watching batman the animated series, and when batman and catwoman kissed I told my brother that they should just be friends cause kissing is icky.

I might not think kissing is icky, but if I'm watching TV or a movie with someone and kissing is involved, I feel very uncomfortable. I don't want to watch, but can't turn away either. I more or less just avert my eyes.

Ditto about kissing on tv.  I ran in to a funny problem while watching the Americans.  There are some intimate scenes between characters speaking Russian.  I want to look away but I can't because the characters are also discussing important plot points (during sex?!)- I have to look in order to read the subtitles. My Russian's not that good, unfortunately.

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY!?

Nothing. Sometimes, it's just good to have a friend that listens to you. And doesn't make judgements.

We're not that close, it's weird

Maybe she thinks you are closer than you think you are? Or maybe she's not aware that the topic bothers you.

And my comment was that in the past incest was kind of common in royalty in order to "keep the blood royal/clean"

I read the books. It wasn't that kind of incest. So your observation was a bit off because you don't know the show, not because you are ace. Which makes me wonder... is it stranger to be ace, or to not know about GoT?! :cake::D

Yes.. I know just having someone who listens to you can be enough! But I just felt really stupid for not being able to simply emphatize with her... kind of like when someone talks to you in a language you don't understand and you're too embarassed to admit that and you just sit there smiling and nodding :D

Probably both. I'm really slow with people...

I just know that there're two siblings who have sex with each other, but true, I don't know any details... (and don't want to) so my bad :D I've only watched the very first episode and for me it was just "meh... no... I'll watch something else!", just not my thing overall

After watching The Last Jedi

Me: But why did Kylo Ren have to be shirtless?

Brother's girlfriend: Yeah I guess he did look kind of weird. I think it was because you couldn't see his bellybutton.

Me: yeah, but WHY? I never wanted to see him shirtless and I really wish I hadn't.

BGF: Just because he's not tanned...

Me (inwardly): why would I care if he was tanned I just want him to keep his clothes on why is that so hard to understand?

Me (outwardly): *awkwardly laughs*

Also when my friends and I were talking about "sexy instruments" and they're all like oooo, cello, yeah, clarinet, and they're all agreeing with each other and I'm like timpani is pretty sexy, thinking of all the epic movie themes that have timpani in it, and they all look at me like ??????? So I can't even talk about sexy instruments right.

Actually, what even is "sexy?" Is that, like, the more skin shown?

From my understanding as a female (I have no clue what guy clothes are "sexy") either showing a lot of skin (nowadays this can include shear clothing) or clothes that are tight enough to be a second skin.

And being wet. Not entirely sure what about being in the vicinity of a swimming pool makes one sexy but  ¯\_()_/¯

1. Miss hearing lyrics from: I never seem to get alot -} I never seem to get along.

2. Then having someone have to explain to me what "getting a lot " was. (How much sex basically)

I thought originally it was lots of cleavage.  Then later a male could be sexy.  I guess showing a lot of skin on the front torso.  Female clothing has "the plunge", that really low V neck that can go down to the stomach.  Then guys, more abs, more pecs?  Sorry if it sounds binary, I have no idea how non-binary sex appeal looks like.

Not going to a parties in fear that the music will be very sexual and people will be grinding or being sexual in general, it makes me uncomfortable. I usually just sit the whole time and eat.

I also usually do not go to parties or gatherings because sometimes the attention turns toward me and people will make comments about my appearance or my personality. I think I fear that the most and I already have to deal with it at home...

What I have to say doesn't really apply to what I posted but it does have to do with apparel.

Leading up to last night's broadcast of the Golden Globes there had been a couple of TV ads with a lot of shots of actresses with low cut dresses. Also in years past there was always a lot of ink about who wore/showed what after the show. The one year a pic of Helen Mirren was a bit 'squirm-worthy'. Who wants to see a pic of their grandmother showing her cleavage?

Even  those with the figure of a 12 year old seem to think we want to know about their lack of cleavage/endowment.

I didn't watch the broadcast (nor any other awards shows) but was the exposure of skin toned down due to the current environment in Hollywood? I had heard that people were to wear black in support of women.

Sexy is a reference to "sexually attractive". Clothing is considered sexy if it emphasizes the attractiveness of a well-built person. The figure can be emphasized by showing skin or cleavage. The figure can also be emphasized by hiding skin, but exposing shape through a tight fit. Wet clothing, in particular shirts, stick to the skin and become partially transparent, so they work in both directions. Some clothing is deliberately non-sexy, like a burka, because it hides both skin and shape.

Sexyness is in the eye of the beholder. Some people can't see enough skin. Others find clothing that reveals less and hints more sexier. The clothing must match the wearer to be sexy. It can be chosen to emphasize traits that the wearer is fond of, and to hide traits that the wearer is less fond of. Sexy clothing on a person who is not so well-built can easily become unsexy, because it emphasizes features that are considered unattractive by beholders.

If you don't feel sexual attraction, all this is moot. But some aces feel aesthetic attraction, which can be affected in a similar fashion (pun intended). They can blend in with sexuals by translating aesthetic appeal as sexyness.

Does this make sense to you? :cake:

I'm reminded of an anime.   A voluptuous 20 year old assassin was introduced to the story as a teacher's assistant.  She liked to wear lots of revealing clothing, as it was part of her job as an assassin, seduce your target, and then kill them.  But this doesn't look that good when you're teaching hormonal teens and pre-teens.  At some point, she wore a regular sweater and the students asked, "why does she look sexier like this??"  The storyline is comedy despite what goes on, so there would be many of those kind of jokes.

One of the big bosses brought his toddler daughter for a bit and was playing with her.  A co-worker asked him if he wanted to have more kids.  (I think that he has three already.)  He just answered with that it's a big question and that kids are expensive.  The co-worker said that she loved kids and wanted seven of them.  My internal ace reaction was o_o.  She said that she plans to choose her man wisely.  Seven is a lot.  Usually I only hear people say five at the most.  I would've said something scientific like need all the right traits for passing on, but I think that would sound weird.

I was talking to one of my housemate's friends a couple of days ago, we weren't talking about anything in particularly, but the subject of "attractive people" came up. They were talking about some celebrity they've got a crush on, they showed me a picture of the person, I kind of shrugged; the celeb was aesthetically pleasing, however they were hinting more of a sexual thing. The shrug really confused them, I had to explain I don't feel the whole "I'd totally have sex with him/her" feeling they do. To be honest, I don't think they totally understood, as they thought the celeb "wasn't my type", so they found another "attractive" person, I shrugged again.

After trying to explain again. I kind of gave up and said "I don't have a type of person I find attractive. I don't have those sexual feelings towards them, hell, I hardly  ever have romantic feelings towards them. It's purely aesthetic, nothing sexual at all."

Sometimes explaining I don't feel sexual attraction is hard. Maybe I should just get a badge saying "this person doesn't feel sexual attraction". 😩

Anyhoo. I don't get 'thats what she said' jokes. I'm kinda glad- if what I think they're implying is correct. whoever created that, in that case, is a big-time pervert.

There is a family that had eleven plus adopted two. The father is self-employed and is pastor at the local 'fundamentalist' church. Some of us figure he's skimming off the collection plate to afford a family that big.

At the Christmas party of our martial arts club. ("R" was someone from my school I brought along because he wanted to try martial arts. He stopped after a few weeks though.)

Guy: "What happend to >R< anyways? You know what he's doing these days?
Me: "Yeah, he's working at a medical office."

Guy: "Ahh, ok. You know, we always thought that >R< was your boyfriend."
Me: *looking irritated*
Guy: "Eh I didn't mean it in a negative way.
Me: "No, I know. But WHY?!"
Guy: "Umm, well you see you are you*²) and then ony day you bring this guy along..."
Me: "Yeah so what? He was someone from school who wanted to try out martial arts."
Guy: "So he wasn't your boyfriend?"
Me: "No." *laughing*

I mean seriously WHY? O_o I still don't get it. We didn't even talk much with each other^^"

[*²) I'm rather quiet/introverted and prefer "male" hobbies etc. So not your stereotypical woman/girl]

Turning "ooooh this is good" food noises into "sexy" noises really annoys the heck out of me. Why do you need to turn food noises into porn? Why.

A friend, my niece, and I went to see this last weekend and both my friend and I decided it was nothing but pure "fanservice" - the act of having a character half-naked, or fully naked, for no other purpose than to thrill a certain portion of the audience. Personally, I think it led to the best line in the movie "Do-do you have a towel or something you can put on?" I was cheering for Rey at that moment. LOL
