I'm curious to know how many asexuals have a normal sex drive and how many do not.

I put mine is almost non-existant. But for all practical purposes, I probably should have put 'none'. I'm not really 'driven' to do anything with anyone or anything, and I almost never am aroused (except occasionally for like 1 second). lol. My body is weird.

Low. Even on the rare occasions I find someone sexually attractive, I can't imagine having sex regularly.

I put "low" though it might border on "very low". And I wouldn't all-together call it a "drive" either. I am certainly not driven to attempt the act.

What's normal? Desiring orgasm three times a day? Three times a week? Three times a year? Three times a decade?

I'd say very low, although at times it seems almost nonexistent.

Ah damn, I voted wrong. I shouldn't read questionnaires when I'm tired.

I'm very low to nothing. Sometimes I wonder if I'm sexually attracted to someone, but then I realize I just like their features and it's nice talking to them.

As for what qualifies as normal, low, etc. - people can vote based on their impression of their libido relative to others (they'd probably do that even if there was a quantitative system in place anyway).

I consider my libido to be pretty normal, with the exception that when I'm mentally stimulated my libido is very low to non-existent.

I'm not exactly sure how I should vote (maybe "Other"?). I have virtually no trace of primary drive (in other words, I never experience a spontaneous need for "release", and very rarely experience spontaneous arousal), but I do have a kind of secondary drive (I have a fetish and am aroused by it), which is approximately normal in level as far as I know, but somewhat atypical in form (no association with orgasm).

To the best of my knowledge I have a fairly normal sex drive.

Normal. I think. What's normal?

It's really quite annoying.

I voted low sex drive.

I suppose its possible for me to have arousal feelings, but it's not related to human flesh in any way. Just a weird feeling that happens every now and then that's not attached to anything. Kind of annoying, like Fishy said.

I put other. I have a very high masturbation drive, but a maniacal anti-desire for sex with another person.

No sex drive at all. I voted after reading again the FAQ's on this site, just to make sure I had the rigth definition of "sex drive"... And indeed, it's something I haven't experienced so far, just romantic attraction for me. ^_^

I put low - I'd say I feel the need for release by myself less often than average, but still fairly frequently. Involving other people, there have been and handful of women that I have had/have definite romantic feelings towards but I'm not exactly sure if I've had sexual feelings (someone once asked when I said I fancied someone - "Given the chance would you have sex with her?", and I had no idea whether I would or not).

I voted 'other'. I'd say I have a higher than normal sex drive, which is extremely annoying.

Since I'm not asexual, I won't vote, but I find having a sex drive rather annoying too. I don't think it's so much because I'm celibate, as just that it makes it a little difficult to focus at times at the task (studying for school) at hand.

I voted "no sex drive at all." I actually had to research what a sex drive is to answer this...so, I'm pretty sure I don't have one :)

I said very low/almost non-existant, though it borders on none. This is because I think I might have been aroused...like...once...when writing random Puzzleshippy smut...but the jury is still out. The sensation was so minimal I barely even noticed, so even if that WAS a sign of a libido I don't even know if it counts. xD

  • 2 weeks later...

i said very low. i'm still confused on the definition of "sex drive", though.

I voted very low sex drive, but I'm not really sure what "sex drive" is.

But I don't want to have sex, I don't need to have sex and I don't think about having sex with someone in real life. So I guess it is pretty low..
