acekat
I’m on the aro spectrum, and I’ve found that most of the time I feel pretty apathetic towards romance. I really love fanfiction and ships though, I’m mostly drawn to alterous or queerplatonic seeming relationships. The best thing I’ve found that works good enough is slow burn romances, but then when they actually get together and start acting like a couple and being distinctly romantic, I get immediately uninterested like 99% of the time. It works but it’s also annoying and I would love to find a good story that’s either explicitly alterous/queerplatonic or has that vibe, like characters just having a very strong emotional connection but it’s not defined? Idk please lmk if you have recommendations, I feel like it’s such a niche preference 🥲
Mult
I'm not sure I have any recommendations that fit this exactly, but you might enjoy the manga Spy X Family. The main couple are most likely eventually going to be romantic but it's a slowburn Fake Relationship situation between a spy and an assassin with "their child" who is a telepath. None of them know about their secret lives. It's a comedy naturally.

Skiros
I recently read a YA book, "Dear Wendy" by Ann Zhao. There is a strong emotional connection that, thankfully, never becomes romantic or sexual! I'm looking to explore this particular trope more (Also f*** the tasteless people on goodreads, they don't know what a good book is like)
