Favourite HAIR color?

I wonder if results will be close to 50/50 split or not (or maybe many people don't have a preference?)

Personally I've always liked dark hair (also my hair is naturally dark). Black hair is especially attractive to me

I too have dark hair and prefer dark shades of hair in other people.

Regarding hair length, I tend to pay more attention to people with "slightly gender-nonconforming" hairstyles, that is short-haired women and long-haired men. But the stereotype itself needs to be examined critically in fact, because yes, it's true that in the Euro-American "West" long hair in boys became strongly unaccepted around the first half of 20th century, so much that in many places it was literally banned at schools. (In Poland nowadays... long hair in high school boys isn't particularly uncommon, although far from predominant, but long hair in boys younger than about 13 years of age is extremely rare.) But this is, actually, a very new tradition when seen in a broader historical context! In the first half of 19th century long hair in men still wasn't considered inappropriate. When we look yet further back, the division wasn't: men - short hair, women - long hair, but rather: men - long hair, women - covered hair. While not as strong a societal prescription as for example in Islam, in medieval Europe it was definitely inappropriate for women, particularly married women, not to wear a bonnet or scarf.

Honestly I have no preference, different colours suit different people. 
 

On myself... I hated being a natural redhead when I was a kid, because 1) sometimes other kids made fun of me, and 2) adults would comment on how beautiful it was, which was especially awkward if they either touched it like they felt entitled to or something, or made the comment to my mum like I wasn't there. I didn't like the attention. As an adult it's fine though. I think it's part of the reason I've made it to my 40s without a single grey hair (although I want some 😂).

Of natural colors, I'd have to say red.  But for any and all colors, I love pinks.  My favorite pink is probably Manic Panic's "Divine Wine," which I really enjoyed when I had it...but I also don't like the way Manic Panic dye smells so I've only done it once.

I like redheads myself (though for dating I would never write off somebody based on their hair color alone). I have boring brown hair myself, but I try and let my personality shine brighter.

I like black hair, on myself and other people. I’ve been dyeing mine black for over a decade; naturally it’s brown and starting to get a bunch of noticeable grays if I haven’t dyed it in a while.

 

I also think it’s pretty cool when people rock unnatural colors. I myself sometimes mix other colors with my black dye to give it a tint. I’ve done purple, blue, and even teal and green. I actually got a lot of compliments from people when my hair had a green tint.

I don't have a preference. I think some hair colors look better on some people than on others, but it varies from person to person. I don't think dark hair is a good look for me, for example. My skin is too fair, too freckled, and too prone to redness. But some people look great with raven black hair. Others look great with very pale hair. Others look fantastic with red hair, or blond/e, or various shades of brown.

I think different people are suited to different colors. For myself, I have naturally black hair (and curly), and I think that's what looks best. I've experimented with different colors -- blue, purple, gold blonde -- but the chemical process of bleaching and dyeing my hair makes my curls go flat and it doesn't look good.

Aesthetically speaking, I have a thing for people with dark hair. In fact, I remember wanting black hair when I was a preteen. However, my sensitive skin makes me reluctant to experiment with hair dyes. My natural hair color is light to medium brown with some reddish tones. Also, people who've known me for years have observed that my hair has grown darker as I've gotten older. Considering that I prefer darker hair, I'm not complaining.

That's pretty much what my hair is like, too. Not a lot darker, still more like medium brown, but was much lighter when I was a little kid.

Dark hair for sure, but you can't just dye blond hair black, the eyebrows will look weird. Believe me, I wish I could.

i have the stupidest sorta hair color, where it cant decide if it wants to be brown or black. i dont have a very strong preference though. i think they're all really neat. i chose red, but i could've honestly picked any of the others on a whim.

That's another thing, my facial hair and eyebrows and body hair didn't darken much and stayed more of a reddish blond.  (and now, I think if I let my whiskers grow out they'd be white)

i partially bleached and dyed my hair once. it has not forgiven me since. i think if i dye my hair again (which i kinda want to) i'd do it without bleaching.

I'm biased as I'm blonde but having went completely grey at eighteen, blonde was just an easier choice. As if it was dark I'd probably look like Pepé Le Pew from Looney Tunes.

It's probably genetic. Premature graying runs in on my mom's side of the family. One of her aunts started having gray hair at age 12, and my older sister started getting gray hairs when she was in high school. I didn't have any gray hairs until after I turned 28 or 29, so I don't think I inherited that trait.

I like light blonde hair, that type which is commonly associated with Nordic people. The second would be red, but mostly in a vivid shade like copper.

Jet black hair is also pretty. The only hair colour I really dislike is brown. I find it quite boring. Yes I have brown hair myself

As for getting grey, my family's genes are mixed. My dad started getting grey when he hit 50, now he's 72 and still not fully grey (and not bald either). It was similar with my mum, she started getting grey around 50, today she's 62 and only has some grey streaks here and there.

My paternal grandpa passed away at 60 and he didn't have even one single grey hair. My paternal grandma started getting grey around 30. My sister is 30 and she's been dealing with some grey hair since she was 27 or 28 or so. I'm 35 and no single grey hair either.
