quixotic_peacock
Hallo! I finally came out as ace this past summer (after many years of internalized acephobia, self-rejection, etc.) and realized that I want to seek out a nonsexual romantic relationship when I start dating again (probably not for a while). I want to be upfront about this as to avoid repeating years of unhappy experiences. I know some ace people date sexuals, but I think I'd feel a lot more comfortable dating someone who's also ace. Any advice about navigating all this?
Guest
None but gonna follow this topic for advice, lol. There are dating apps for aces that I'm aware of but I have zero firsthand experience. I haven't dated even briefly since coming out so that's been like ten years and I really wonder if that's something to consider for the future or nah not even worth the trouble (if straight allos aren't doing well in relationships I mean you gotta put things into perspective)
ei-hvað
You can check out our dating site master list thread as a first stop. I found my partner through an online dating space which sadly closed down shortly after we got together, so those are worth a shot.

MrDane
(I am sexual) I think, that a lot of sexuals would think, that provided with the right mixture of time and trust, your seuality would start to bloom. I thought the same, even though my wife said out loud “look, dont expect to much. I am kinda asexual” To me, that was just a way of saying: I feel insecure. Do not pressure me. I like, that you want to be honest and open. The dating pool is smaller, but perhaps better for you.
