I should be doing something else, but I'm going to create a poll.  Please answer this strange set of questions, if you like. 🌻

1. Yes, there's definitely such a thing as too much salt. Food that's truly too salty is virtually inedible because it tastes disgusting.

2. Red fox.

3. Both, but I've never actually been to the mountains.

4. Milk chocolate, but I like them all.

5. Bookstore for sure. I don't really get coffee out anywhere very much, just make my own at home (and take it with me if I'm going somewhere), and that was the only other serious contender on the list. I've actually said that I wish there were 24-hour bookstores before. 24-hour libraries would be brilliant too. Most useful would be the return of 24-hour grocery stores though haha, though not on your list. They started being common here around 2006, sort of reached their height around 2010-2015, and then started disappearing again. The pandemic killed of the last of them in my city. I miss them because I find grocery shopping rather overwhelming a lot of the time... so many people in the aisles, lots of noise, I just try to get in and out as quickly as possible. Which is why my husband does most of it, but sometimes I actually want to come. It would be a lot more enjoyable if almost no one was there. My ex and I used to go to stores in the dead of the night and it was actually fun.

6. Falklands. I've gone down research rabbit holes about them several times and just find them really interesting. Maldives would be my second choice I guess, but I'm way more interested in non-tropical places and the Falklands are the only option on the list that isn't tropical.

I would prefer a 24×7 library rather than a bookstore though.

I have no idea where any of the islands are located. 😅

This reminds me of that youtube channel where someone has a fox rescue. You'd need a pretty big space to have one as a pet.

Fun fact, the Gaboon viper is in the genus Bitis.

You can't make this stuff up

High Blood pressure runs in my family so a lot of salt=no

My specifications for a good pet and huggable and boopability of the nose. Red Fox has both qualities.

Not really big on either but I hate being cold so beach

Milk Chocolate has the best flavor IMO

I could spend days in bookstores if I could.

Fiji mostly to see if the actual Fiji water tastes like the bottled Fiji water.

1. Yes, I think too much can actually kill you, besides tasting horrific.

2. Red Fox, but maybe with a neat coat morph.

3. Mountains I think would be cooler; I used to go to the beach all the time, it's alright, but as an adult, I think I'd like the Mountains more.

4. Dark - but also, Ruby chocolate is really cool.

5. I was between bookstore and coffee shop... maybe if it was like Barnes & Noble and had a coffee shop INSIDE a book store, that'd be sick af.

6. Martinique sounds really cool! :o

  1. Absolutely, yes.
  2. Nutria rat. I'm a big rodent enthusiast 🐀
  3. Both are nice!
  4. Dark 🥷
  5. Pool! I like swimming, but I rarely do it because there are just so few places to go swimming where I live. It'd be nice to go swimming at night! (Though I typically prefer outdoor pools; I'd love to go swimming under the stars)
  6. Gotta be honest, I don't know much about any of these places. 😅 So I picked the last option. (I might be interested if I knew more about them...)

1. Definitely yes.  I don't even like salt all that much.  A pinch of it can help some things, but not really any more than that.

2. Definitely not the kangaroo, they are vicious fuckers.  I have never heard of the rest.  The rat seems like it'd be the most manageable.

3. Beach, only really because I like the water and I don't like heights.

4. Milk.  White's alright.  Dark doesn't even count as chocolate to me (yes, I know it is actually the purest chocolate)

5. Pool, because as I said I like the water.  I don't drink coffee, I don't skate, and I'm not much of a book reader.

6. Fiji is the only one of these places I've heard of, and I can't say I've ever had a real hankering to go there.  If it's not too dangerous or "3rd worldy" or anything like that though, I wouldn't necessarily be opposed.

Not to be too pedantic, but... 👀

There are definitely plenty of mountain ranges that have warm or outright sweltering hot weather. And beaches aren't all tropical beaches. I love going down to the lakefront in my central Ontario city in the winter and spending time on the beach. My husband and I have gone to the one where we got married many times in the dead of winter, when there's snow on the ground and the lake is frozen over, just to wander around or sit on the lifeguard's chair for as long as we can tolerate the cold. Or to blow bubbles even. 😂 I was at a few gloriously bleak beaches in the UK years ago too and loved them.

1: I LOVE salt. but yes, there is. its when there's nothing except salt in your mouth. thats the limit for me.

2: red fox? they're adorable. there's a project in russia where they're trying to domesticate foxes, toning down their aggression through selective breeding and such. not sure how ethical it is, but i like the idea.

3: MOUNTAINS. i love mountains. i stare at them in awe and amazement every day. beaches though... bleh. too many people. the sea is pretty though.

4: milk.

5: i chose bookstore, but what i mean really is library. the idea of being in a library at night is really exciting to me.

6: falklands.

1. Yes, I like salty food but too much is disgusting.
2. I picked the viper. I've always wondered about having a pet snake, now's my chance to try it. Feeding time would be upsetting though.
3. Both, beach for relaxing and mountains for my love of exploration. 🥰
4. Dark, milk is a close second if I'm feeling indulgent.
5. I picked skating rink, even though I can't skate. I realise it's different from ice skating but I'm pretending it's for ice skating. 🙃 Those places feel magical to me.
6. I chose not interested because I can't be bothered to google where those places are.

I wondered if no one's chosen the Marshall Islands because of their history of being nuclear test sites for the U.S., or maybe just because they are so remote.  I'm just a sucker for pretty beaches, and photos make their beaches look lovely.

Ngl, a great deal of what I know is just from playing Globle every day and Googling the places that come up that I'm unfamiliar with. 😆

There is no such thing as too much salt. Salt is one of the mere two good flavours in the world: Salty and sweet. Actually, salt is both of the two good flavours in the world because if you eat just salt with no food, salt will taste sweet. This is more true with coarse ground salt for some reason, I don't know why.

I will have to pass on a pet. I used to think foxes were on the handsome side until I got close to one. They stink too much, it cancels out any attractiveness they might have.

1: Absolutely. There has to be a balance and it's harder to fix food that's too salty than it is to fix not enough salt. Too much salt ruins the dish.

2: Red fox. Though now that I think about it, the viper would be interesting too. All those choices would have crazy requirements but I'm picturing an ideal world where I can set up an ideal environment for exotic animals.

3: Mountains!

4: Hard to pick between milk and dark, thought I went with milk.

5: Coffee shop! I really wish there were more nightlife places that aren't bars or clubs. I'd love a late-night cafe, or night library. A midnight skating rink could be interesting though I'd still take the coffee shop.

6: Fiji. Picked randomly, though after a quick search I think I'd want to check out the Falkland Islands instead, I'm curious. And maybe the Faroe Islands too.

1) Too much salt for what? The answer is probably yes in any case, but I'm still curious what the salt is for.

2) In order from most viable to least viable, it would be: Red fox 😄, then nutria rat 🤔, then kangaroo 😳, then gaboon viper 😨.

3) A beach sounds more inviting for a casual visit (preferably an unpopulated one with no strangers), but both are places I'd potentially like to see.

4) Dark chocolate. 🍫😋

5) Bookstore, as long as the employees are all happy and thriving in this arrangement.

6) More research would need to be done before I could decide on any one of these islands.

1. Yes. Too much salt can actually kill you. Well, not outright but salt contains sodium and too much salt is related to chronic blood pressure problem, heart diseases, and kidney problems.

2. Red Fox because it sounds cool.

3. I have been to both and have liked both. Beaches and mountains each have their own charm and I like them both.

4. I have had all three kinds of chocolate mentioned above but I am partial towards milk chocolate.

5. I don't care for either of these as I don't go to any one of them. Most of the reading that I do is online so I don't really care about any of these establishments.

6. To be honest, I don't really know where most of these places are.

1. Yes

2. Red fox

3. Mountains

4. Dark

5. Coffee shop (honestly, the amount of times I've walked around at 3PM looking for a cafe that's still open...)

6. Falklands (despite the darker aspects of it)
