Hiya  My name's Ash. I'm a 24, nonbinary.

 

I magically stumbled upon this website and made an account a while ago. I was always too nervous to say hello, but today's the day I gather the courage!  I've known I was ace since I was 14, but didn't accept that part of myself until recently. I remember the day when I learned what my allo friends meant when they say that someone is "hot" and thought, okay maybe I don't find people attractive like that.  

 

As for my romantic orientation... I'm still kind of struggling to accept that I might be arospec too. I think I have some underlying shame around it, as most if not all of my IRL friends are in relationships. While I don't really feel romantic attraction towards others, I still crave connection. It doesn't help that I confuse the bubbly feelings I get from making a new friend with romantic feelings. The confusion is kind of overwhelming at times, and I guess I'm feeling kind of lost...

 

I'm hoping to hear other people's stories, make some friends here, and maybe learn a little bit more about myself while doing so.

 

I'm glad to have found this little corner of the internet. I look forward to meeting y'all :).
