I like mashed potato best, but I've never had any fancy potato dishes before so I don't know if I like other kinds of potato ways.

 

the choices are limited because i haven't researched potato cooking variations

 

you have to choose a best

 

unless you don't eat potatoes which is of course totally good! not all foods are for everyone

 

now that I've made this poll, I realize I haven't had my current favorite available potato dish in quite some time. Wawa, mashed potatoes with mac and cheese, with chicken on top, with honey hot sauce.

 

Maybe sometime I'll go to that fancy diner and get an expensive potato dish since I really liked their chicken parmesan.

Yes potato and used in some kind of mashed way! 👍🏾 Although I do like them fried in some way as well.

most days i have some sort of potato things, apart from maybe 1 day a week when i either have rice or pasta. (thursdays)

mostly boiled but i will have chips maybe 2 days a week. (sunday and mondays usually, although last monday, instead, i chopped a boiled potato in the omelette i was making)

Yup. I like potatoes, propably mashed potatoes best.

Recently I discovered a recipe for potato quesadilla. Generally two tortillas are needed for one serving, small enough to fit on your pan without folding (I used some slightly smaller tortillas for this reason). Cook potatoes, then mash them with a bit of butter and mix with grated cheese. Lay one tortilla on the pan and put mashed potatoes on it, leaving a bit of margin. Then spread some grated mozarella along this margin, it might help to at least slightly "glue" both tortillas together. Cover the pan, heat it for a few minutes and then try to flip the whole to heat it for some time from the side of the second tortilla. Yum. It was really good, and a relatively quick dish (or at least "low maintenance", no need to stand over the pot and then pan all the time) to make.

Chips/fries are my least favourite, but still high on my list of favourite foods.

Theres a burrito place in San Francisco which (optionally) serves them with potato instead of rice imside. Pretty good!

When I was poorly as a kid, my great grandmother always made me a big bowl of buttery mashed potatoes. Chicken soup? Nah. Mashed potatoes. That's the way.

My nan does roasties for the family most of every week. I'm usually the one to finish them

I like potatoes prepared in any of those ways: baked, mashed, fried. It's all good, for me.

I've had it with fries and with tater tots, the tot texture holds the sauce well.

 

Yeah I know it sounds sacrilegious, it started in desperation when there wasn't any rice but I kept doing it because it's damn good

Similar to me. I like many other ways, but not scalloped or au gratin or tator tots or hash browns. Do those have something in common?

Anyway, I love a good baked potato or mashed potatoes or fries or chips/crisps.
