Welp, today’s the today, ladies and gentlemen and all of you in between. I know what you’re all thinking, “FUCK!!” And yes, you are correct for feeling that way. It just turned 12:00 am for me where I live, and I’m deciding to create a new thread for us to complain in for the next four years. 😔 Stay strong! We have each other so don’t despair completely. In a way, this a place for us to complain but also for us to come together. I wish I had more hopeful things to say, but I really don’t at this moment.

    - In the spirit of wishing I had something more hopeful to say

but really don’t -
 

Anthropocene was rejected by geologists last year but may continue to be used by climate scientists, economists and the public,  to describe the period of our planet’s history mostly driven by human population growth linked to environmental destruction, climate change and worldwide species extinction.

 

Though the starting point of this proposed epoch is up for debate, it would seem the Anthropocene continues and has now brought us to extreme levels of worldwide power and wealth inequality, 
and another Trump presidency here.

This is so gross. Every time I see this guy I genuinely feel sick. Sick to my stomach just looking at his face! I feel like throwing up. Forget not being able to hear him talk, just looking at his face will do horrors to your health!

Y’all just keep resisting! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 You can do this in many ways whether it be big or small! For example, I’ll continue to recognizing LGBTQ+ in my daily conversations especially recognizing trans and non binary people. I’ll express the importance of diversity and inclusion. I will try to donate to small business or businesses who don’t support Trump or the Republican Party and are helping people of marginalized communities and the Earth. I will educate myself and pay attention to reliable news programs! As a black woman, I am already politicized just for existing!! I won’t bow down to Trump or his goonies. Nothing and I mean nothing they say makes sense and it’s never in your best interest. I will continue to question everything they say so they won’t gaslight and manipulate me into thinking we’re a team! I will continue being vocal about my opinions. Even if they are controversial to the majority of Americans! Although I don’t understand how basic human rights are controversial but here we are! Stay strong! Just by doing the little things to resist helps! Honestly, guys just keep your common sense! That alone is a form if not the best form of resistance since MAGA and Republicans refuse to think beyond “Well Trump said so…” 🤪 Trump loves the uneducated (stupid people)!

Iḿ sitting here in Europe  speechlessly watching how human rights are kicked  and going to be kicked . Also the right to be any gender, to be queer I fear.  I feel with everybody who is threatened, no matter where and how.

I wish this wasn't happening.  All the bills that are already being passed/will be passed, Trump threatening other countries, it's all so awful. 

 

Border patrol in my city has already been going into stores and taking people. The place I take college classes at sent out an email just the other day saying that immigrant students are protected.  I'm scared for the future.  Stay safe everyone!

It has been a few years since I last visited the USA, and I would have quite liked to go back this year for a long vacation to see more of the amazing national parks. However, Trump being the president worries me. So I think I will probably avoid the USA for now and go spend my vacation in Canada instead.

Every word I've heard from him today has been against my will...

 

People who attack DEI and claim to be colour blind think counting the merits of people who aren't white is exclusion against white people. If that's even the context here. For all I know, Trump could just be picking words from a randomizer.
