[current for 2025] Input Request: Input on Aven Resources for both Partners, and Friends & family of Aces

Hi Everybody,

There is a project currently on revamping the AVEN front page and they need assistance. Specifically

  • Resources for friends/family of aces (with section for parents)

  • Resources for partners of aces

For those running the project, they would really appreciate to get non-ace perspectives on producing the Resources, as the partners, friends, and family that these are for are not ace.

If you are interested in helping, you can contact @michaeld and/or @LeChat

I hope some of you can participate.

:) Hi! I'm just helping let members know that this is still current, in case anyone might be interested.

Thank you!

Hi all. So as @LeChat says, we have a team of volunteers working on the content for a new version of the front page, asexuality.org, which we plan to roll out this autumn. We are drafting pages that cover many intersections, for example the intersection between asexuality and ethnicity, gender id, disability and many other categories. Religion is one of those we would like to cover.

Useful contributions could include:

  • Testimonials (anonymised if needed) from people in the intersection.
  • General information and discussion.
  • Perhaps most importantly, links to other resources on the web.

Proofreading is also valuable.

In general, this applies for all intersections and categories.

For example, if anyone knows any links from around the internet they found which they feel could help friends, family, and/or partners understand an asexual(s) in their lives or help improve their relationships with them, that could help.

Sexual partners' experiences with an asexual partner can help, too (e.g., how they work out their relationships with possible sexual differences).
