Milk,,, <‎3

1% or skim only please, can't stand the taste of the richer ones unless it's flavored. And some of the nut milks but I haven't tried all of them. Almond mixed 1:1 with 2% is the best of both worlds

I love whole milk, but my dumb body doesn’t and started reacting badly when I drank it (I tried “lactose free” milk and it had the same affect on me). Now I drink almond milk and usually make it chocolate flavored. Although right now I’m drinking almond milk with some coconut milk egg nog mixed in and that’s pretty good too.

Are most of these even milk? Are any of these things even milk? What is milk? Where is milk? How is milk? When is milk? Why is milk? Am I milk? Was the milk the friends we made along the way? Will milk mend my broken heart? Will milk bring my father back? He went for milk and never came back. I'm so lonely without him

"But Foxglove," the milk whispers to me, "you don't need your father. You don't need your family. You don't need your friends. All you need is me."

I cry tears of cream cheese as I cradle the milk in my arms. "But milk, what happens when you expire? Will you curdle? Will you smell? Will you turn to butter?"

The milk shushes me and wraps me in its warm embrace. "Love can defeat even the most determined of bacteria."

The milk and I kiss and the world explodes into a rainbow of flavours: cashew milk, almond milk, banana milk, flaxseed milk. The power of our dairy love washes over the universe, replacing what was once curdled and sour with delicious milky goodness. Wars are replaced with peace, conflicts are replaced with love, and all beings in the universe surrender to the milky paradise that falls over them like milk from a cow's udder

Still a better love story than Twilight.

You just inspired mx. foxglove to redact a whole word-playing manifest. Thank you :)

On-topic: I love raw milk (as well as cheese and yogurt), from cow and goat. Unfortunately I suffer of irritable bowel syndrome, so I can't consume a lot 🥺

Thanks, I needed the reminder what a whole milk was. Milk made of a whole what?

In an unrelated note, my favourite milk is "Fortunately, the Milk" by Neil Gaiman.

The world is your udder, one could say. But perhaps one shouldn't.

I'm not opposed to other types of milk, but my house is pretty much a whole milk house thanks to my parents.

And @fantastic mx. foxglove, holy crud, that was freaking poetic!

Whole Milk, Rice Milk & Banana Milk 💜

I absolutely prefer low-fat milk, 0,5 to 2% fat. (However, completely fat-free milk tastes like water.) Unfortunately, milk on sale is usually whole milk - yesterday I found 2% milk on sale, but it was one of those sales which discriminate against non-smartphonists and I had to use someone else's app to be able to use the lowered price. But people often agree to do that.

However, I don't really drink milk by itself. I mostly use it for sweet drinks (cocoa, milkshakes) and in cooking (bechamel sauce, puddings...). I also like Müller flavoured milk, but unfortunately, it tends to induce diarrhea in me... so sometimes, really, I use it as a laxative when I'm having the opposite problem.

I also use coconut milk, mostly for curries. A variant I like a lot (which is inspired by Thai cuisine to some extent, but by and large, can be considered my own recipe) is curry with tofu, green string-beans, brown portobello mushrooms and rice.

I'll use coconut milk as a cooking ingredient in Thai style curry and that's it. Can't have cow's milk because of intolerance, so no bechamel sauce, white sauce etc in cooking. Never liked any type of milk as a drink, on cereal, in coffee or tea etc

some of these are WEIRD milks but I like the normal white one or table cream

I don't mind chocolate milk either

i've tried coconut milk and it's... alright

same for almond milk but if walnut milk exists I'm 1000% allergic to it (had a severe reaction to half a walnut, imagine drinking MILK with that shit)

I imagine it would taste weird as fuck
