Honestly I stopped checking my email and clearing stuff out sometime last spring. If someone says they're going to send me something I'll keep an eye out for it, but I'd say that happens maybe 5-10 times a year. I don't do much of anything important via email.

Edit: There's more than that too, I don't have all my email accounts on my phone. I mean I don't use many of them anymore, but still.

None: I'm too pleased to get any e-mails, and I look at them all!  I barely get any spam.

I used to get really graphic, offensive spam on my old e-mail account, so I changed the name on the e-mail–address.  That worked, thank goodness.

I just asked my partner how many he had and his response to my number was not unlike yours.

I can't see the picture on either Chrome or Safari; what does it say? 🤔

Personally, I never get many e-mails, but honestly most of the automated ones I delete, afer clicking on them, before they have time to be marked as 'read'. ;)

It says that @Ceebs really doesn't care about inbox e-mail management ;)  🤣

Accurate. 😅

Actually I used to be really neurotic about it. I'd spend ages going through stuff and trying to organise things and delete them and unsubscribe from stuff, but then for a little bit I just... stopped... and it became too big and overwhelming to deal with.

Most of it is mailing lists and shit that I don't care much about or have the energy to read, but I can't just delete the accounts from my email app because very occasionally I receive something important. I don't know what to do about it so I ignore the issue. 🙃

I have four unread emails.

In September I had over 7,000, but I had a digital and physical clear out of everything, and now I keep on top of my emails because that took forever to sort through.

I have one unread email at the moment. I usually just use the select all emails and then click the mark as read option. Most of my emails are promotional ones as I'm signed up to a lot of mailing lists. I don't bother to read those ones.

My account says 99+, so I'm not bothered with counting :P

I have tens of thousands between multiple accounts, I subscribe to a lot of mailing lists for coupon codes and can't be bothered to go unsubscribe.

None, I simply delete all spam the second it lands in my inbox.  I have a strict "inbox zero" policy (all important stuff is put into sub-folders usually by project).  At work I tend to get 20+ e-mails a day, and I have a bunch of inbox rules setup for moving them to appropriate places for certain projects etc.  Basically if I didn't keep on top of my inbox I would be drowned by it...

Finally someone else who actually uses sub-folders!

I don't understand why some people create multiple accounts when just creating filter rules is so easy and saves logging into several accounts. I only create folders with my "real" email account that came with my internet provider. Easier to see what needs attention first if they automatically get filtered  into Bills, Medical, HOA Board, Friends, and any special projects like correspondence about a new roof. Informed Delivery and other arriving stuff stays in the inbox since it is short term. I only use my Gmail account for free sign-up stuff (junk) So the Gmail doesn't have any rules, I just delete everything every week or two.

Different accounts for different personae.  I have one for work (which only gets checked when I'm on the clock), one for personal business like online purchases, and a couple of different ones for stuff that I prefer not to have strongly connected to my identity in the real world.  And I don't use webmail, so I don't have to worry about separate manual logins—the email software takes care of all of that.

The mailing lists do get autofiltered into their own folders, though.

The account I actively use has no unread emails. I try to keep it organized with labels and such~

The other one has 5,209. I rarely receive emails on that one now but when I do, I either mark them as read or delete them. I haven't cared enough to sort through the rest.

None. I'm on top of all of them 💪 Mainly because I have a strict "Don't tick third party spam" attitude. Because the spam I used to get was interesting if I weren't female 😂

Otherwise it's tide times (Scuba Diving), agents/producers, family, friends, an Aventie :) Otherwise mine is pretty calm.

@CeebsHoly hell 😂

Probably a few hundred in my Yahoo account. I keep forgetting my password but once every few weeks or months I muster up the non-laziness to get my password notebook out and sign in to clear out the emails.

Not sure how many my Gmail account has. I only have a Google account so I can use YouTube and stuff, and I don’t really use it for email purposes so it doesn’t get many emails and I don’t check it very often.

Edit: I stand corrected. I just checked my Gmail and it had like 500. It was mostly Reddit recommending me things from subs that I’ve lurked in.

none

(I just don't like having unread emails - some get deleted without being read, the rest get read when I check my email)

I applaud you for having that thought, though. Well played.

There are indeed a few people on here who know my main email address lol. Don't know if any of them are reading this thread, but...
