michaeld
It's Ace Week! The week devoted to awareness of asexuality. It's a great week to run an event or talk, or to start a conversation with a friend or family member about asexuality. And of course keep an eye out for mentions of asexuality in the media. Some of the activities happening during Ace Week can be found on the website: aceweek.org. We'd also like to highlight the following: @garrobols, a service designer from the University of the Arts in London, is collecting stories for an exhibition in London. For more details and to contribute to the project, click here. As usual, @SpirallingSnowy and colleagues are running Australia Ace Week, a series of activities primarily on discord running throughout the week. All are welcome. To join in, PM me for the discord link. Similarly the German language server is running a sequence of German language events for Ace Week. Again pls PM me if you want the discord server. ACAR (Aces Committed to Anti-Racism) are putting on a Disabled BIPOC aces panel on Weds 25 Oct. Looks like something will be happening here....? [edit: see below for more info from @Snao Cone.] The Ace Survey team will be releasing the 2021 report and German and Spanish translations of the 2017 report. There will also be a call to get involved in the survey in future. For more information, see the website. Speaking of getting involved, this would be a great time to volunteer to be a moderator on AVEN, if you are eligible and that inclined! There are several forums available - see here for details. We are also looking for people to help update the front page and other AVEN resources. If you are good at writing or editing, and would like to share expertise on asexuality, please PM me to get involved! Sorry if I missed anything! Please do post of any other events you'd like to draw attention to, or give more information on any of those mentioned.

Thanks for including this even when it was an empty mystery thread. 🙈 I've since updated it to the Ace Week Tournament: Monster Mash version where people can vote on their favourite scary asexual creatures.

Ab3lha
Will there be an opportunity to get involved in data collection and volunteer with the census team? I was going to volunteer a few years ago in 2019 but I had to not go ahead with it due to health reasons at the time. I now have more research experience and I'd really love to get properly involved if possible?
LeChat
@Ab3lha Hi! Do you mean the largest and yearly Ace Community survey? If you're interested, they have an email to contact them. We need your help: Volunteer for the Survey Team | The Ace Community Survey

I can't find anything in the recent inbox; if it was sent more than a couple weeks ago, it's pretty likely it was missed - apologies. Sometimes things do slip through the net. Did you send to aven.pt@gmail.com? Please either resend, or PM me a keyword/name to search on and I'll look for it. Thanks again and apologies!
