We as Staff are announcing changes that now cover Breaching Staff only communications and privileged information meant to be staff only.  The following areas to our documents are as follows: -

2.7 Private and Privileged Communications Remain Private
Sharing PMs, privileged information, and/or their content on a public forum or other social media without permission from the originator(s) and the recipient(s) is not permitted.  In certain pertinent cases, PM's might be discussed by Admods, especially when the PM itself is a question raised to the Admods outside of the public forum/s. If you believe you have been given information from a Mod or another party that looks like it is for Admods, PT, or DT only, or you were given another member's Warning information without consent, please report this content back to an Administrator with all information you have been given, and the names as to who give you that information. Holding onto information and posting it elsewhere is considered Breaching under this rule.

Anybody previously Warned for Breaching Staff Only Content are not eligible to run in any Staff Elections.

We do this to protect the security of members privacy, for any communications breached outside of PM's meant to be private and Staff Only forums are treated as a new Warning that comes with an indefinite election ban.  We have to consider that once the trust is lost by the posting of private information and causing drama from this, there's little to no way of returning to any staff position.  We can go for 1 year long bans, 4 year long bans, like a one that's current with a member, or generally indefinite ones that do stand with some already, there would be longer than the warning given at the least.  Totally dependent on the drama and the breach and any public stink that could cause, up to the Admod teams reporting at the time.

What happens in the backroom stays in the backroom until declassified. Admods are held to a higher standard in their public conduct on the board. Moderators have more power than regular users and they need to be dependable and professional. Leaking sensitive information is a serious matter. With great power comes great responsibility.
