Thujaplicata
I was taught cursive as a side thing in elementary school, then the school I went to for sixth and seventh grade required it and now I use it for letters and random moments. One of my favorite cursive memories is how when I worked in a school a few years ago I could journal or whatever in the middle of the class and none of the students could read it. It was like a secret code, that cursive. Especially because I wasn't all that careful to write clearly.
Virelai
I was taught cursive, but to be honest, I gradually forgot it over the years. As someone who works in data entry with handwritten mail/letters from time, I dislike cursive. It is oftentimes hard enough to read handwriting without adding cursive on top of that, which makes it completely illegible.
TormentDubz
Can I write it? Yeah. Do I? No.
Ortac
In French schools, kids are expected to learn and write in cursive, so I think I was around nine years old when I first started using it, and I continued to write using cursive pretty much 100% of the time until I was around eighteen or nineteen. However, after I left school, I abandoned cursive and developed my own simpler style of joined up writing instead. It wasn't a conscious choice; it just kind of happened. I still retain the ability to write in cursive if I want to, but compared to my school days when writing cursive came naturally for me, I now have to concentrate much more on my writing when doing cursive in order to avoid slipping back into what is now my normal style. LadyBear
I was taught to write and read in cursive, it's absolutely normal. My cursive is usually horrible looking, but I can write decently enough when I bother to (so not when I'm taking notes for myself)
