Like I said in another thread, I once hit 200 mph (~322 kph) in a BMW M3 that had a speedo that was rated in mph but I thought it was kph, when I realized how fast I was going later I was like 😮

It was my friends and had some modifications to be faster (this was when I was in my 20s).

Thankfully as soon as I hit 200 I slowed down to 0, and just steered to the shoulder of the highway, I mean, it was exhilarating, even in a car that was modified to go above 155 mph (what most cars are limited to).

Prior to that fastest I had ever gone when I was 16 was 280 kph (~174 mph) in my dads Toyota Camry V6. Which was pretty much it's top speed. It felt very different from the BMW of course, you could feel every bump in the road and it felt like you were going to flip at any time. Yeah I was a crazy dude when I was younger lol.

Whops, I thought it was in kilometer per hour 😅😂 The fastest I have driven is approximately 130 km/h, where I live the highest speed limits are 110 km/h, so I have stepped on the gas a little bit too much on a few occasions. I have only had my drivers license for a little over two years though, and I usually drive a pretty heavy and slow car 😅

In my country it is illegal to even do 100mph. Most people I know just do around 80-90 mph on motorways.

Because in spirit, you can drive. In your dreams, you have driven. In fact in future, you will win the F1 trophy.

I was once in a car with a priest who was doing 90mph+ down a dual carriageway whilst laughing madly.

Was it because of the blue flashing lights in the rear view mirror? 😁

About 260 km/h for a very brief period, we just tested the capacity of our car on the motorway at night. So that's the maximum we can do, but we never do it, except for that one time.

But basically my answer should be:

There's a speed limit to 100 km/h on Dutch motorways, that's even slower if I'm counting right

407K/h, in the VGT Tomahawk X 2019 on GT7 :P , but that's just in games, I'll never be able to drive under any circumstance because of several disqualifying factors.

Yes, the speed limit here is 70mph :o I think that's about 115 km/h from a quick mental calculation.

By the way, it's the first time i see the abbreviation "kph". We usually use km/h in Europe because short for kilometer is km.

Still 15 km more :P I can't think of any other country, at least here in Europe, that has bigger speed limit than the Netherlands. And it's only during the day

You're not that wrong, internet says 70 mph is about 113 km/h :D and then, Dutch speed limit is about 62 mph. That's quite something

Hahahaha! No, actually it was late at night and I pretty much know where all the cops are as well as speed traps and it was on a highway out of town so yeah....

LOL! Well, I take your 407 kph and raise you over 600 kph! (In the Rimac Concept 2 in Forza Horizon 5). :P

Actually, yes it should be km/h here, in Canada we actually use km/h not mph, but kph is kind of slang for "kilometers per hour" because of mph existing.

I once got my Citroen C3 to 100mph then immediately braked down to like 70mph before I blew my 1.1L engine out.

Actually it was the speed glitch in the Porsche Taycan in Forza Horizon 5:

I've only ever driven/ridden a moped myself except as passenger, and never exceeded 65 mph / 105 kph. I am terrified of being in/on fast moving vehicles due to being involved in several significant accidents.

I think I got up to about 110 mph some time late at night on the highway, but I found it pretty scary, haha! Usually I keep to the speed limits, or only a little above it (like when I'm taking over another car).

Usually if the car is built for it, for example your BMW M5s, your Mercedes AMGs, and then upper tier - your Porsches, Ferraris and Lambos, then you don't really even feel the speed that much until it is in the really high levels. Cars which are not designed to go too fast feel unstable at high speeds, you can even hear the wind going past in some (I know I did in my dads Toyota Camry V6). Also, you shouldn't have any windows open at high speeds and you should steer very very gently as a really rough input into the steering and you will over turn.

Now I am not endorsing going fast, but just sayin'.

200Km/h more or less. It was during a driving lession. My teacher chose a "freie Autobahn" without speed limit to practice it. His logic: I should get a feeling for it in a protected setting rather than doing it on my own while probably overestimating myself. He said: "Let's be honest, everyone drives like there is no tomorrow at least once in their lives, so might as well prepare them for it".

@Janus the Fox

And here is a video of people exceeding 800 kph on Forza Horizon 4... :)

I’ve gone at least 90 mph, I can’t remember if I’ve gone to 100. I used to regularly drive around 80-90 mph until that time I spun out on the highway, now I’m scared of going over 70 mph.

Here things can get dicey once it snows and there is black ice on the highway or free way, personally during winter I drive like a snail for this reason. But basically the rule is, go speed (that means go the speed of regular flow of traffic), so the best you can do is try to brake early so you don't slip and slide and possibly have an accident.

Oh, it was a decent car, that was not the problem. I was just so aware that every little steering adjustment would have a much bigger impact than it would have at a lower speed... It made me uncomfortable. I rather just watch F1 from my couch.

My car isnt made for speed but on an empty road, Ive hit 110mph. It was a great feeling. Of course, its not like I can do that every day but on an empty road at night, thats the best!
