Light mode on discord is terrifying to me. /j

And what's the difference? How do they look like, because I don't even know it?

I didn't even know discord had a light mode.

Light mode on instagram (because dark mode has many infuriating glitches) and AVEN (because that's all I've known and dark mode AVEN is very weird to me, and reading white text on a solid black background is more difficult for me)

Dark mode on youtube (and bonus: wikipedia, since its dark mode is a very nice dark grey rather than a black and reading is easier that way)

I don't use twitter, discord or facebook

Dark mode because it's easier on my eyes

I don't use AVEN, so I can't comment on its dark mode, but dark mode is generally easier on my eyes.

My browser is set to override all site-provided colour schemes, so I only see white on dark blue regardless of what site I'm visiting.  It isn't unusual for me to have some level of photosensitivity, meaning that a primarily white or light screen can feel like a stab to the eyeballs, so I take measures to ensure that doesn't happen even if it breaks a few poorly-designed sites.

I use dark mode basically for everything, because the light mode hurts my eyes.

There is also a dark mode in my mobile devices, so I use it.

Couldn't say it better. Being photosensitive in every aspect doesn't help either.

Mainly I don't like looking at a bright screen at night in bed, it just hurts my eyes to.

Light the day, dark the night.

This makes sense.... but if I had to change it manually when day turned to night, and night to day, I would just leave it on either light or dark mode permanently. I'm way too lazy to actively change it every day and night.

I mean, I only have AVEN, and it takes two clicks. Maybe three if I'm on YouTube. I'd take that over hurting my eyes, which I've always felt were more sensitive than others (considering I never use full luminosity).

My computer monitor gets super bright when I turn on HDR, but the colors are so vivid and beautiful that I just deal with it. 🤣

I just tested AVEN's dark mode ...and it is horrible! The light mode is easier on the eyes.

I prefer lilac!  Wish I could choose colors of AVEN's dark mode on my own.

dark mode for the win, light mode hurts my eyes and I have to turn down the brightness.

OMG that would be so cool!!! you would get to choose like primary and secondary colors and save them to your profile. The code would be easy too!! just sub the constant RGB codes to variable attributes of your account!!

Should you be able to change the black background too?

light mode for AVEN because I don't like its dark mode

dark mode for VS Code and Microsoft teams

gray mode for Outlook

and I always use blue light filter glasses because dark mode and turning down the blue light on the monitor aren't even enough for me

How many of you use the "Night Light" feature on your computer monitors if your monitor which uses warmer colors in order to block blue light that gives one a headache especially at night? I don't bother with the "Night Light" feature on my monitor. And don't have any problems.
