Green apples are my preference.

I am aware of all the different varieties, some are more yellow then green, pink also but I just want to keep the poll simple

Green, preferably sour in taste. Red ones are too bland for me.

No preference by colour. My favourites are Empire (red), Golden Delicious (yellow), Granny Smith (green), Mutsu (green) and Snow (red).

Speaking of breeds, my favourites when I was a kid were Idared, but I haven't seen them anywhere in ages :(

Green - as sour and crisp as you can make it. Granny Smith are my favourite.

When I was a kid I used to love Granny Smith apples because of their sour taste, but as of now I'll leave them to @alsjeblieft. :P

It depends. For stuff like pies and cobblers green apples but just to eat an apple on it's own red.

Generally I prefer red for eating as a snack, and green for cooking in crumbles.

It seems everyone prefers green for cooking, as someone who doesn't know how to bake, I can't really say....

It's usually because they are firmer so they hold up better and not as sweet so it isn't overwhelming sweet when sugar gets added

i'm not big on apples in general for their texture, but definitely red over green. not a fan of sour foods in general

Interesting... the more you know right?

My little brother, all of my sisters and my mum are excellent bakers so I always got to eat great stuff growing up. 😋

everywhere and nowhere

I prefer red ones. Green apples, particularly the famous Granny Smith... I just don't get their appeal.

However, I must say that even red apples seem to be getting worse in the last approximately twenty years. Even here, and I live less than 100 kilometers from "Europe's biggest apple orchard", or the Grójec area.

I actually should have started from this as well. I don't really like apples.

McDonald's Baked Apple Pie is so good, and also my landlady makes delicious homemade apple pie which is even better, I always have hers with ice cream when I have it. :)

Green apples forever. They are much better than red apples. Red apples can sometimes be good though. The type of apples I really don't like are yellow because they are always too sweet.
