Writing asexual alien superhero

I'm in an on-line superhero roleplaying game, and the following is part of a background story I wrote for my character in her secret identity:

10:30 AM

Therina Shkloonthda sat at the workspace she'd been assigned to when

she reported to Farber Products from the temp agency. They'd given

her an hour to read the manual on company procedures, and Therina's

alien intellect could comprehend its contents in under a minute; for

most of the last half-hour she'd pretended to read it, while

surreptitiously studying the other workers in the office. Two were

displaying clear signs of a struggle for dominance between alpha

males, while another pair's reactions showed that the male and

female had mated the previous evening, but were concealing this from

their co-workers. The human reproductive process and associated

rituals, like that of other bi-gendered species Therina had

studied, intrigued her; it all seemed so complicated, compared to

the asexual reproductive process of her own Shpoimar race.

"Hey, Tina, want to grab some lunch together later, and I'll tell

you about life here at Farber?" That was Mark Stafford, one of the

office workers; like the other humans, he knew Therina as Tina

Sloane. Therina judged that Mark's attempts at friendliness covered

a desire to mate with her, or technically to mate with the human

form she had assumed for the duration of this assignment. "No

thanks, Mark, I've got things to take care of." Direct experience

of the human mating process would be useful eventually, but further

study was needed first.
