I think a human can always dream about sex regardless of their experience, but it would be a more detailed/graphic dream for someone who has had sex. Link to post Share on other sites

--- Posted May 6, 2007 Share Posted May 6, 2007 I think I've had about three or so 'erotic' dreams in my life but the sex has never been graphic, it's sort of in third-person and impossible to make out/hidden, a bit like a missing scene in a film. Quite weird really, the act itself was never the best part of the dream, more just a symbol of emotionally bonding with someone because that's what I always thought it would do. I have had a few dreams about sex but they are always when I am with a sexual partner and the dreams are about being frustrated by the pressure to have sex. In the dreams I never enjoy the sex and never want it; even in my dreams I am giving in to my partner. I interpreted the intention of your question to be asking if people spontaneously dream about having sex for the sake of having sex, or for personal enjoyment. If that is the case, no. Also, I NEVER dream about sex when I am not in a relationship and have not had such a dream in about two years. I have had dreams about cuddling, kissing, and abut people trying to have sex with me and me pushing them away. Link to post Share on other sites
Apophyllite Posted May 6, 2007 Share Posted May 6, 2007 I've probably had about 4 dreams where all of a sudden, I knew that sex had occurred, or was going to and then had already happened, but the actual sex part itself wasn't there. None of those times were sex that i consciously (in the dream) chose to participate in. Other than that, I've had 2 kissing dreams that I can remember. Link to post Share on other sites

I also have a lot of disturbingly sexual dreams about women (I'm straight in real life), but they never involve actual intercourse. In the spirit of my dreams being really weird, it was me and a bunch of runaway kids or something, and we were on this spaceship, and we were eating shrimp, except it turned out that the shrimp were made of human (like fake fish, except... not...), and then they were gonna turn us into shrimp, and having sex was the only way to escape. I had a few dreams before where I almost had sex with this unknown guy. :shock: Fortunately though, I woke up before it actually happened. In fact, the people having sex in my dreams are usually in rather disturbing pairings. In the very few dreams I've had involving myself, sex has only been implied and usually involving someone that would be really disgusting for me to be with. So, ya... I have sex dreams, but they're more like quasi-nightmares. However I do have many nice dreams about proximal intimacy that aren't actually sexual (if that makes sense), so at least my brain isn't completely twisted when I'm not awake to keep it in check. He did it because he was getting ready to have an affair in like 3 months. So then the butter apparently works in, well stimulating him, and I watch his, well you know what literally grow out of him. I think now I'm also recalling a dream where I had a, well man's organ, and it was also disturbing. In the end I became a girl again and was grateful not to have to lug that ugly thing around (sorry guys!). As for actually seeing sex, no I have not in a dream. There were a string of dreams that all involved my (now ex) boyfriend raping me (even though he never did any such thing), and every now and then I'll have a weird dream that somehow ends in anal sex- and then I wake up with a massive wedgie. >.> I rarely even remember my dreams, much less dream about sex, but it does happen. noise Posted May 15, 2007 Share Posted May 15, 2007 when i thought i was sexual, i did. or when i was sexual? hmm. asexuality describes me now, but seeing as i've never had a truly intimate relationship, i wouldn't know if i was/am sexual... wow, this is confusing. in short, i used to until i lost interest in dating and the like. i decided to rewrite this. when i was interested in romance/dating, i occasionally did. now that i've figured i'm aromantic, i still have those dreams. they're not very common for me, and i am usually not involved in them myself. it's usually me observing others.
