I know probably most people here aren't super interested in mathematics. But for those who are, I'm curious where your preferences lie.

Personally, my favorites are analysis, topology, dynamical systems, and game theory.

By the way, don't complain to me about what is/isn't included. Complain to the list of mathematics topics on Wikipedia.

working with variables is my favourite, so algebra. There's some shit in algebra I don't fuck with though

In my first undergraduate degree I majored in Pure Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Statistics, Computer Science and Econometrics, so I’ve all studied those topics and more.

I'm reading this as saying you did a quintuple major. Surely that can't be right??

Computing Mathematics, so that's a basic to moderate understanding in:-

Algebra

Calculus

Analysis

Geometry

Topology

Logic

Dynamical Systems

Theory of Computation

Information Theory

Signal Processing

Probability

Statistics

Game Theory

Operations Research

I'm... not strong in mathematics in school, that... was a subject of serious anxiety... but through college and university, I think a basic to moderate understanding, excelling in Computational Mathematics, may have lifted some anxiety, once understanding I'm Dyslexic/Dyspraxic/Dyscalculic

I like algebra cause figuring out what number a variable represents was kinda fun when I first learned it plus most stuff is kinda easy to do. But I do find some parts of algebra hard and confusing. Also never took anything else that was listed except geometry and since I did it online it was hard for me so I ended up not liking it.

Statistics is the only mathematics I can wrap my head around and enjoy, because the calculations are generally fairly simple and extremely visual, while most problem sets are about application of math to data, and the hardest part is figuring out how to apply collection and analysis.

TLDR; The most social sciencey of all mathematics.

My studies in math were pretty low level, so my knowledge is quite limited. That said, I actually did enjoy a fair amount, even if I didn't retain as much as I'd like. I don't have enough knowledge of it to pick specific areas/fields as favorites. I probably should have taken more math classes in school.

I’ve always thought algebra was fun, like solving a puzzle. I enjoyed Calculus, eventhough I got a C when I took that class in college (my problem was actually remembering how to do the problems during the tests). AP Statistics in 12th grade was one of my favorite math classes I ever took.

I absolutely HATE probability & statistics with burning passions.  I don't understand them in the least and I don't understand why other people like them.  Geometry is meh for me, I don't hate it but I don't like it (my spatial awareness is pretty low) but Algebra & Calculus are awesome.  I've never gone higher than that in math, though.

As a sociology major, I've had to take statistics. I actually liked the class a lot, and it made much more sense to me than other areas of math.

None of them, I hate mathematics. Despite winning a regional mathematics competition as a teenager. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Probability was the one thing that I was decent enough in at school, and the only reason I managed to get a C in my Maths A-Level. Absolutely hated anything to do with geometry.
