Mentions asexuality at 10:30ish, and transgender a couple of times throughout the vid.

 

Not a piece on asexuality as such, but plenty of discussion about normative thinking which applies to hetero-, cis-, and amatonormativity (and whatever else one could think of, probably). In spite of the title, the problem of internalized whatever-phobia is addressed in a way that makes it clear that the phenomenon isn't limited to homosexuality but minority (sexual) orientations and gender identities in general.

 

Anyway. Couple things hit pretty close to home for me, thought I'd share.

casual recognition indicating asexuality is a normal part of humanity. Excellent. The best kind of recognition I think. Not making a big deal out of it, not ignoring it.
