It's a really well designed website and kudos for you making it as there was such a lack of well functioning ace dating or socialising websites 👍

Thank you so much! Comments like these make it SO worth it! 🍰

I tried Asexualitic.com but no success to really connect with someone. Up to now asexualcupid.com works the best for me.

does anyone download a dating app once a year with no intention of talking to anyone on there? just to look at people, how they present themselves, just like window-watching... but for people? like sitting in a cafe a looking at people walking past?

Me! Haha. Tinder, Bumble, OkCupid... You name it, I had it.😅

Asexual Cupid seems to have decent traffic and has a good layout, but the cost is so high. Asexualitc seems to have fewer people (in North America, at least), yet only charges a reasonable fee for the whole year. I've had quite a few good chats on it so far... and with none of the fake accounts seen on Ace App. (Asexual Cupid with Asexualitic's fee would be perfect.... they'd make a ton more money too, surely?)

I've noticed people disappearing, though, and that's their choice, but sticking around for a bit longer might help. I've been on them most of the year and it seems a lot of people come and go. If I'd done that, I'd have not 'met' some amazing people I have regular chats with. Too far away, especially with travel restrictions, but we can keep building a friendship online and see what happens when it's safer to travel!

I’ve met some perfect people (for me, at least), but the distance is a killer. I would love to make a bumble or tinder and just say “I’m an Ace looking for a local ace”....but I have a lot of friends on there, and I’m very private about being heteromantic. I guess I’ll be the crazy cat man lol

Wow. This thread started in 2016... in 4 years, there’s still no good choice for Aces wanting to actually date or have a relationship.
That’s pretty depressing.
So my options are: a) be true to myself and resign myself to being forever alone because it’s impossible to find anyone else Ace in the U.K. (or anywhere),

or b) go back in my box and end up miserable by either being dumped when no sex becomes an issue (as it always does) or feeling forced into sex to keep the relationship (which is personally worse than being dumped by a magnitude of a gazillion)

😓😓😓

I hear ya. I’m almost tempted to just bite the bullet with a sexual relationship, and just hope to find someone who doesn’t prioritize it. But...I’m giving asexualcupid another shot. I’m talking to a few women, who are at least just one state over 🤡 Sometimes, I wished I lived in Arizona. I’ve spoken to 3 awesome, and super pretty, women there. The distance really sucks, though.

I have a very stupid question. When people say Asexual Cupid, do they just mean the OkCupid app and you mark asexual under your preferences? There's not like, a whole separate app that I'm just missing is there?

I just recently joined OkCupid and I'm wondering how broad other Aces make their "radius"? I've found a couple of other ace ladies so far, but not any ace fellas quite yet. Also I'm really trying to not pay for the app, but I may have to here in a bit...

EDIT: NEVERMIND. I figured it out like, 20 minutes after I asked lol. ^^;

I echo what people are saying on here. It’s so frustrating when Asexualitic is so quiet but reasonably priced. Asexual Cupid is just too expensive and ACEapp just wants to give me a Nigerian scammer free reign on my personal details.

I have had trouble on Asexualitic recently with unwanted attention, he found my Facebook page and very creepily sent a cryptic message on Asexualitic. I have since deleted everything on my Asexualitic profile and nothing is public in my Facebook profile as I feel he’s watching me.

I have sent a message to whom I think are the ones I should ask for help with this but have had nothing back. I can’t find a way to block this person. Very frustrating when someone from this website has taken my money for a subscription but there’s very little support and we still have adverts.

Who else is ready to be a crazy cat person?

Why can't AVEN create it's own dating function? We're all members, some very longstanding, there's trust and numbers by the plenty. It's such an obvious suggestion, I'm assuming there must be a very big obstacle.

Any answers?

@Loolie, it's because of age restrictions. If we had a dating service we'd have to have a minimum age of 18, and that would have to be backed by some form of age verification, such as a credit card number, with the software as well

Thanks @Skycaptain, that explains it. Although I now understand, I think it's a shame in some ways because it means many of us are still light years away from dating - hard on older asexuals who don't have time for the world to catch up and see us out there as openly and prevalently (sorry I made that word up) as other minority groups. AVEN is doing a great job but we remain the final taboo. That won't change until others recognise us as we recognise ourselves.

Having said that, I can't speak! I haven't come out to anyone beyond three trusted colleagues and two close friends. Of those 5, only two get it, if you know what I mean, although all 5 say they accept it.

I am on ACEapp but I am finding the men a bit pushy I guess. They are going on about being fond of me and saying things that seem a bit further along than I would expect so early on. Maybe I am just struggling with how ppl chat on these apps, its been 10 yrs since I was out there and on OKCupid. So many people who just do not even try and keep a convo going and yet they start the convo, it feels hard work.

The problem of asexual cupid is that there are few matches, and a lot of them are inactive. Sometimes I look at some profiles and I think "if she only knew that I've sent her a message, maybe she would answer immediately". But nothing to do. I am pretty new to this World, but I guess that for some people the chances are so low that they quit trying.

My link was added not too long ago to the list at the top of this topic which I appreciate! But I notice the link isn't clickable. Could this be fixed? Also, the site doesn't only offer dating options but also friendship. Thank you in advance. 💜

I just joined, and I agree not many matches.  For now that’s ok, because I’m really just putting my toes in to test the water right now since I am still married, but getting a divorce soon.  A big reason I went on ahead and signed up was because I am very lonely and I want to connect with someone who is like minded.

Hello! 😄

I'm from East Europe (Hungary), and I'm looking for a free datind site. I'm 19.

Is there an app/site for my location and age group?

Thanks for every recommendation! ❤️

Wouldn’t it be a good idea for AVEN to start its own dating area?

I mean, we all seem to trust this site and since majority of people here are ace it seems like a good idea. Plus people already make friendships on here, so why not relationships? Maybe someone should contact support or something to recommend the idea, I dunno.

We can't.

As I'm sure you've noticed, many people can't tell the difference between romance and sexual interest.  Some of those people include members of various nations' legislative and judicial bodies.

Meanwhile, AVEN is accessible to users as young as 13.  So, unless we wanted to have to go to court to try to refute claims that we're aiding and abetting pedophilia (which we don't want to have to do) we can't offer dating site services.

I'm on OKCupid (as an ace fella) and I set my radius to something like 500 miles 😝 so I could get some results. I tried some of the other apps listed here and, the paid ones seemed a bit sketchy, and the free ones didn't seem to have anyone on them. With OKCupid I've actually had some results from within an hour or two's drive.

One of my matches said that, as a hetero male ace, I'm a "unicorn" which I thought was funny but also kind of too bad.

I recently out of curiosity had a little search to see if ACEapp was still a thing (I'm taking a break from dating during the pandemic as I had a break up just before the pandemic and feel a little awkward dating at this time).

And (at least on Android) it's gone but another different app PIUD: asexual chat appeared which was for asexual socialisation but it looks...'interesting' and I'm not sure about it. As it has no reviews and is made by a quiz app company???

So ramble over, has anyone tried this new app PIUD: asexual chat?

Also was wondering if anyone had used Taimi which is an LGBTQ+ dating app?

Hope everyone is safe out there and not feeling to lonely or isolated in these strange times 😊

I have Taimi downloaded but I've never actually used it to be honest so cant tell you if it's worth it or not.  I do use aceapp though and I have an android phone, I live in the UK so not sure why it wouldn't show up in your appstore.

Where do you even find that?? I tried the other day, and it was not coming up for me. I located the website, but not the phone app. (Honestly, I don't even know how much use it'll be fore me, since I've recently discovered I'm aro, anyway, but... friendship? Companionship? QPR?? I like snuggles...)
