Here in Florida you might hear BFE or "out in the sticks". In other parts of the US I've heard Boondocks. Also Nowhere USA.

Hmm... I think there are several ways to refer to middle of nowhere. "Mitt ute i skogen, Ingenmansland, Ut i busha."  are the ones coming to mind right now.

Just recalled, sometimes we also say "where the birds start flying backwards", or actually the combination of both.
