Mr Biggles
It’s been ridiculous Utterly ridiculous.
thylacine
You are right, and I hate it too, but it happens a lot. It's really annoying, and the problem is that if you are not interested, they think there is "something wrong with you." Sheesh.
Lichley
I swear people need to learn that harassment isn’t a way to flirt. Like even sexual people complain when some random person tries to sexually harass them when they’re not interested. I don’t get why some people think this behaviour is ok. Dean.
It drives me insane! there are so many people out there who just don't understand that no means no, not everyone is attracted to you and that kind of behavior isn't right. It's almost worse when people try to "correct" you when they find out you're asexual, they think they can change you over and it's very frustrating.
Mr Biggles
Work (was) the worst. No one down the nightclubs sexually harassed me. Don’t think I met a woman (least not a man) interested in sex with me, or sometimes more importantly about my sex life. But they all do (did) at work. I used to go to work and think ‘well can’t we all do some work’. Well it’s just silly.

It’s like ‘no!, your not asexual, you really fancy me (actually anyone), you’re just in the closet’. Impossible to tell people differently.

There was a false complaint to get to an effective disciplinary meeting, the false complaint fell apart, so she admitted in the meeting this ‘when I first met him, soon as I saw him, I was sure, absolutely positive I was going to marry him and just look at him’. I get this (or did) all the time.

Absolutely right - people always seem to think their bad horrible behavior is "normal." Yuck!

I’m blond (full head of hair) and thin, look way younger than I am, even at 50 people say I can pass for late 30’s. I was 30 then and in my prime, getting serious, serious attention, but usually (almost exclusively) at work. I can’t be really hot, because down the nightclubs (didn’t frequent very often), well I probably did as-well as the next guy. I’m good looking, but I have a curiosity factor that I think woman are drawn to, again especially at work and it’s caused me massive problems. i attract the crazies all right, you haven’t met my wife. Job interviews are bad (especially later in life), because they know my sort of history, it’s like ‘WTF have we got on our hands here?’ and at the end of the interview, stare at me and sort of rub their chin. It really makes me feel uncomfortable.

To a sexual an asexual is the enemy. But they don’t understand us, we’re a tiny minority (what 1%) we consequently sort of understand them far more, partially because of there numbers, partially because of what an asexual inherently is. But in some respects though and what you could be saying is we are an enemy to ourselves. I have to confess in my life I have sort of exploited sexual’s, but I’m not sure for what end or gain?. I think I understand what you mean, not exactly sure. Someone who is sexual, all sort of problems, pornography, sexual assaults, adultery, you name it. But there’s are sort of external problems. But from my own experience an asexual can cause ‘internal damage’ to themselves, particularly mental, to themselves, beat themselves up, sometimes. I for example am very ‘passive’ externally. Sexual’s tend to cause in my experience more ‘external damage’, which is also often inflicted on asexuals. If you know what I mean?.

I have been asexual all my life, but I have other traits in relation to mental health which also figure. So I might be a sort of ‘odd ball’ asexual, because of mental health problems. Personally, only speaking from personal experience, I’m very ‘passive’, but I use ‘passive’ very well, very well!. In my my dealings with sexual’s, i’ve found them very ‘active’. In terms of the whole asexual community, i’ve only known them, well from on here and only recently joined, so the whole community I have a lot to learn about. You might be right, in time, now I’m a part of the community and out the closet shall we say, I may find asexuals ‘active’, but personally to me ‘I’m passive’, based on my history and dealings with sexual’s.
