I've left the life of eating carbs behind, at least for a good while, so this question cuts deep. I can't imagine using a spoon, though.

It depends on the type, for me. If it's spaghetti or ramen, I eat it on a plate with a fork, but if it's elbows or squiggles or spirals, I eat it in a bowl with a spoon.

I'm sorry, I can only imagine what it's like to think of eating pasta when it's forbidden.

Big enough bowl and fork. This is the easiest way to scoff down such greatness.

Plate-fork, but a "deep plate". It could be perhaps called something between a plate and a bowl.

Guessing I'm the only one who was brought up to use a spoon and a fork ?

If that's the case you're doing it wrong. Definitely so if you can't use chopsticks to help ram such goodness into your mouth

My roommate loves pasta.  She eats it out of her bowl, licking it up with her tongue, so fast you'd be mistaken that you put any in the bowl in the first place.  She'll start barking at you like you didn't too if you still have pasta on your plate.

<oh wait, wrong thread.  pfft whatever, still applies>

Bowl and fork (or chopsticks).

I found myself absolutely unable to grab anything with chopsticks. :( I'm just double-left-handed.

By the way, the number of objects I just dropped (holding them with my hands!) during the last week is around 8.

Plate and fork- a bowl just feels...wrong to me :D

And how would one even eat pasta with a spoon?!

I'm picturing me trying to twirl spaghetti with a spoon...would not end well :D

For me it depends, for some kinds of pasta dishes I eat them from a plate (or pasta bowl) and some in a regular bowl or soup bowl; some with a fork, some with a spoon, some with both.

I mean, effectively never, but for those rare cases then definitely with chopsticks, no matter whether in bowl or on a plate 😕
