J. van Deijck
Anyone knows, likes or appreciates any Dutch/Flemish Belgian music? :
Ashmedai
There's a small handful of Dutch bands I know, but these guys are the only ones I know that sing in Dutch off the top of my head:
Ortac
This is a beautiful song by a Dutch group about Franco-Dutch relations!

Lots of good bands, all singing in English. Other than Heidevolk, I've only come across one band performing in Dutch, but I can't recall their name.

There's Dutch rap and hiphop though, which is not my genre, so can't recommend anything, but here's a place to start I guess: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0fXtHnZH6Gtl5AEmEGyBTA And then there's this type of absolutely terrible shit that my neighbors like to listen to at the parties they regularly host until 2am: Spoiler Somehow my aunt likes that same type of fair music. Spoiler These dudes (Doe Maar) were popular when my parents were young, so I've had to listen to that a fair bit too. Much better than the stuff above in my opinion. Spoiler And here's a couple of songs that have been really popular at different times in the Netherlands Spoiler (^Only Birds Still Fly From East to West Berlin. It's about the wall, hence the imagery.) ^This lady usually sings in English. She's really famous in the Netherlands. I actually like some of her songs Same goes for these ladies^ My grandpa's favorite: Spoiler "I don't like ladies with fur coats. Ladies with fur coats are mean. I'm going to start a case against them. I will turn them into leather." Whenever anyone in the Netherlands complains about anything, someone else is bound to spontaneously start singing 'heel zwaar leeeveeeeeen' (such a tough liiiiife) in the sarcastic way she sings it: Spoiler And here's the dumbest Dutch song ever: Spoiler Yes, the lyrics are just enumerating all the parts of a bike. I had to sing this whole thing in elementary school for one of those school performance thingies. If it doesn't have to be sung in Dutch, then: Spoiler You're trying to learn Dutch right? If so, I hope this somewhat helped haha

It's one of the few I know of because Dutch and Flemish songs aren't really my thing. (I personally think they sound cringy). It's most-likely because I grew up hearing Asian languages more often that I feel that way about my own language. 31 minutes ago, Jelle van der Lee said: I love them actually. Can't believe I haven't posted anything by them, too I kinda like them because I heard a few of their songs when I was a kid. I remember that in elementary school, some kids sang a parody of their song. I wanted to post this song here but unfortunately, I don't know the name. I just know the chorus part that the kids made fun of.
